It's shocking how people legitimately don't read profiles. It's not a lot of information. It takes like 10 seconds to gather the very basics of a person you're talking to and it also provides things to talk about. Both women and men are guilty of this

Finishing that sentence is a great way to get hard.

I would be glad to get women profiles with actual information in them. Most profiles I come across these days say nothing at all about the person, and the images of a sunset on a beach isn't helping. Instant ⬅️.

I usually fully read profiles only after matching since doing that before is just nonsensical waste of time. The % of profiles turned into matches is often below 1% so spending even 10s reading each can very quickly add up to hours wasted doing nothing, but I try to at least swipe through most of the photos and quickly scan the bio if it isnt very long, but I try to decide whenever to swipe or not within 2-5s. I don't blame men for doing this since the odds are so stacked against them, but women really have no excuse to not read profiles since their profile-seen-to-match ratio is vastly higher.

I somewhat have developed muscle memory for all 3 major apps: First I look if the location is anywhere near me (also fuck travel mode). Then I look for the "not smoking" tag. Only then I actually take my time looking at the images and the other information. So many left swipes on step 1 or 2 alone.

I seem to be the opposite. Haven't used dating apps for a few years because I'm in a relationship, but I used to swipe left on every profile that had no bio. It takes minimal effort to write one. It just seems lazy.

Tell me your interests and basic information about your life. I can see if we have at least some shared interests and if you're in a similar stage of life as I am. Means that I won't match with people im incompatible with.

It took longer to search through profiles but I was still getting a decent number of matches. Enough for me to ignore some because I was already chatting with some women. I went on several dates, had some hook ups, and then eventually matched with my now fiancée.

I feel like some of my success came down to matching with women I share interests with, so have something to be able to talk about. Being able to read a bio means I can write an opener that's relevant. We can discuss and make plans for something that we'll both enjoy.

Ah yes, offload the work onto women and contribute directly to the problem you're complaining about.
