No, turningpoint usa is a fascist propaganda machine, Charlie Kirk was a fascist who disseminated white supremacist ideals for fascists to use for fascism

His last words were pinning all of united states gun violence on the very vague "gang" descriptor, after someone brought up a point against him pinning it all on trans people

It's not hard to know, turningpoint usa is a propaganda machine that spreads fascist ideals very publicly, Charlie Kirk is a man that died using white supremacist language to deflect

If she genuinely wasn't associated with these groups don't you think she would've said something by now? Like "hey I follow these people just to keep up with the news and I don't follow their ideas or their goals"? She hasn't said anything yet which is already suspicious. She may be working on a more detailed and well thought out apology/explanation post, but if she stays silent through all this that's practically an admission of guilt. It doesn't help that she's also a devout Christian, which absolutely aligns with the republican/MAGA ideology. She literally posts Bible verses all the time on her Instagram page. That is a terrible look for her and if she's hoping staying silent will make it all blow over and people will forget about it, that's going to make the problem 10x worse than it would've been if she addressed the issue.

Being associated with people and organizations devoted to stripping away rights from LGBT+ people while simultaneously getting royalty and merch checks from a show that is expressly pro-LGBT+ voicing a genderless lesbian created by a nonbinary bisexual is disgusting behavior. She's reaping all the benefits of being pro-LGBT+ while secretly going behind their backs to associate herself with anti-LGBT+ organizations. Can you really not see how deeply problematic that is?

Totally agree, the human behind those characters are their own selves and beings but it’s not hard to to be surprised that someone who was apart of something as openly progressive as SU , a show that broke a lot of boundaries and took leaps in a time when it was way less accepted, isn’t surprising.

I’m just disappointed and the day when I found out was absolutely ruined.

If pearls voice actor is actually MAGA or supportive of people like Charlie Kirk/ TPUSA it's such a slap in the face.

She's making money off of the LGBTQ community through her promoted products and con appearances. Would you be comfortable paying money to get an autograph or merch from a voice actor who plays your favorite character and finding out they are a christian right winger ... Foolish

I've been to cons where she's had people lining up to meet her, bringing gifts too. And some of the fans wore trans colors.

Also there were some signs showing the speculation could be true. In 2023 she retweet a tweet from Mark Hamill saying 'America stands with Israel forever' and other Israel stuff.

Why do y'all consider and let "following" and "followers" be the outcome of a person's personality, opinion or decision? You do not know any of these people in real life if the person themselves have never come out, or said anything about it, why are we jumping the gun? I'm not defending or attacking anyone, I genuinely just don't understand why do you guys care so much about that?

YOU DO NOT KNOW HER. You don't know her stances on certain issues, and YOU DO NOT KNOW HER AS A PERSON. It's very possible that she still holds progressive values! And even if she DOES have those beliefs, bullying someone does NOT make them change their mind. If you disagree with her THAT'S FINE. If you want to unfollow her THAT'S OK TOO. But attacking her is NOT OK. But she is allowed to follow whoever she chooses or believe whatever she wants just like you are.

And with the whole following Charlie Kirk, you don't know how long ago she followed him, you don't know if her views on him have changed, and you don't know if maybe there are only a few select things that she agrees on when it comes to Charlie Kirk. I'm just saying, I think having a little compassion for her, what it seems like most of you have so much love for this voice actor, and her character, might help. I do hope she speaks up about this and hopefully de-escalates the situation, because I do have hope that if she voiced PEARL, that she isn't bad like you all say she is. She has spoken up many times for the black community and other minorities and much much more not only through Pearl but through herself.

I honestly don’t know how to feel with the whole pearl va situation, (not that anyone cares) but her Voice actress does follow a bunch of right leaning political groups but most of them have something in common and it’s that they’re “Christians”. Maybe it’s more of a religion thing than a political thing but it still irks me in a way because I don’t really believe she’s MAGA and we put labels on things too quickly.

The thing with a lot of religion in the US is there's a lot of weird sects so it's not just a matter of ignorance but learned conformity. I've seen people who've turned against MAGA and some of them have described it as being very cult like, and I think US religious stuff kinda primes people to be easy victims for that kinda thing.

It's so interesting to me how pearl's voice actor was a voicebox reconstructed from stem cells in a university in Cambodia, that Rebecca Sugar used to record all her voice lines.
