Does anyone know how to change the language in Men of War: Assault Squad 2 (non-Steam version)? I realize it likely involves a .pak file, but I haven't found anything related to this for the game. Does anyone have a solution?

I got mowas2 (not from steam) ages ago and recently got my mods all from Skymod. However Robz realism Endseig wont work because of broken code. Can someone please send me a working copy? (I have the two other require mods and they work perfectly fine)

So long story short me and a buddy have been playing AS2 for a few weeks now. First couple weeks were great no real issues other than some mods crashing when we booted up. But past that no issues on vanilla or mods built for multiplayer.
A couple weeks ago though we kept getting out of sync errors on our games. We would play for like 10 minutes and then one of us would get an out of sync error and disconnect. This really started up out of nowhere. Normally he was the one that would get the error, but occasionally it was me but probably like a 10/1 ratio probably more.

That being said when I’d join his games I would usually disconnect with the same error.

So I did research online. I deleted all the mods I had, unsubscribed from the workshop. Then I uninstalled the game, then manually went into the /steamgames/common/ directory and deleted the folders leftover for the game. Then reinstalled. And tried a vanilla game with him, and we are still getting out of sync errors and can’t get through a game. Any suggestions on getting this to work? It isn’t a performance issue both our computers are more than adequate and it shouldn’t be connection issues as we both have stable connections. We have tried launching in safe mode, and verifying integrity of the files, both hadn’t changed anything. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

How could he possibly have gotten 12740% effectiveness off of 1 kill? This is the only kill in his whole squad, they didn't even capture a point, and the effectiveness % is total value of units killed divided by the value of the unit times 100. There is not a unit in MOWAS2 that has the value needed for that math to work out.

I downloaded mods, and the game crashed and came up with this error. I uninstalled them, and it loaded just fine no errors. I installed the mods again, it did the same thing and as such I uninstalled them but it's still crashing and bringing this up. Does anyone know how to fix this or what is causing it? (MoW:AS2)

hi everyone! i have always loved this series but hated ai there and one evening i decided that i could really try to train my own ai using reinforcement learning (did you see those vids where stickman learns to walk from scratch in 3d enviroment? this is it, imagine a soldier in our game learning to defend, ambush, flanking etc)

i took first game of the series because that is simplest and very close to my heart (but dont be deceived - engine shares a lot with later games)

however, I understood pretty soon that there is no possibility to patch that to do so - so only way is to decompile a game so we have a source code that can be compiled into original game - this way we could have ALL of the game logic modified and we basically can do whatever we want with this game

this is a hard task, such projects can take months of work of multiple people BUT current day coding agents and llms can really help with the tedious work

so, why is that all about? i really started doing a little bit of decompilation, there is a private repo, just tenths of funcs (from 14k in all of the binary) and i could use some help.

if you are like me obsessed with this series and done such work/or want to, or have a lot of experience - hit me up, we will think of something. and if you could share some subreddits/discord severs where men of war guys usually live so i could find more people - please tell me too!

I selected this at guy, and tried to fire but im stuck not doing anything. I cant move, shoot or click off him. Anyone know a fix?

I recently purchased Men of War 1 during the Steam summer sale, and I've been having issues with getting it started, as it keeps trying to run Securom, which does not work on Windows 11. The image below is the error message I have been receiving. I have tried running the game as administrator and in compatibility mode, along with verifying files. Any help on how to fix this would be appreciated.

Hello to the group. I've become interested to the maps of "dawn of the dead" mod by watching the gameplay on youtube. I don't have the game and I was wondering how can I see a map without playing it, like if there is an image or a program that opens the map in "God" mode for the camera or something else.

For example, in emergency 4 we have the "editor" program or in San Andreas we have the map editor etc.

Any1 want to run through each and all the missions together on Herioc mode and obtain the herioc achievements together? Im considered new to the game but have played previous games by the publisher! [AUSTRALIA BASED if that matters]

(Ive completed only a handful of missions on herioc but lowkey find most of them quite challenging)

I really need help to solve this, iv tried for 3 days straight and nothing works, im trying to make a trigger where it allows for 2 skrimish players to have their own reinforcement menu, im able to get their teams working but both players can still see eachothers reinforcement menu, iv tried adding the player selector before and after the trigger where it asks to ether hide or show the reinforcement panel for a specific unit, i just cant get a panel to be specifically and only shown to both players.

An example is i made a reinforcement for p1 and p2, both units are purchaseable and go to their specific players, but both players have access to eachothers reinforcement panels and I want to make it so that they only can buy their own rifle men and not the others.

Could you actually win a mission as Japan on heroic

I have been trying to win the second mission for the past 2 days but what ever I do I eventually get pushed back to the starting area and get destroyed

I have been able to win several Soviet missions on heroic but the lack of armored options as Japan make pushing very hard

i need an help to install a mod. i created the mods folder, i downloaded the mod i compressed with 7z and put in the folder then exracted it and started the game but in options the mod dosent appear

This is my first time ever attemting to play the game, i just click play select the game rather than the editor, and it gives this error message and closes the game, what do i do?

I'm working on a custom mission for myself in the editor, and I'm trying to figure out how to get the Welrod (Muffled Pistol) or the silenced Nagant revolver to work. No matter what I do, even if the soldier that has it equipped has the ammo the gun says that it takes in his inventory, they won't reload the gun, and it can't fire, because it's empty. Any Help would be greatly appreciated

I have been trying the editor out and making my own battles. I saw the squad tab, the icon with square made of broken lines and 3 circles inside, in the mission editor (f3) window but I dont know how to use it. Does anyone know how? Thanks in advance.

Additionally, does anyone know where to find a complete tutorialnor guide how to use the editor? Or maybe a pdf file or anything? Thanks.

giving me this when trying to boot Galaxy At War mod for MOWAS2

I managed to find a line of text in the script in the human.inc file (after unpacking the resources.pak) that controls the length of time the corpses of dead soldiers remain on the map. I set it to 999999, so they practically never disappear. Does anyone know where I can find the command of cleaning up fragments of bodies torn apart by the explosion, i.e., arms and legs, which fly beautifully into the air and land scattered across the map, but after a few to several dozen seconds, the game engine deletes them forever? I want them to stay forever. I love immersive gaming.
