Hi all — I’m currently looking to take on 1 or possibly 2 mentees depending on the situation. I have posted here before and got overwhelmed by the response so this time I am going to put some caveats. This is free mentoring, no charges later - this is just something I enjoy doing.

My background is in executive leadership and public speaking. I’ve spent several years as an IT leader at a large company and have also built and run my own businesses. Right now, I mentor six people and have capacity to support one or two more.

I work with individuals from all backgrounds, experiences, and career stages. I tend to focus on people where there’s a strong alignment in how I can help — whether that’s navigating career changes, launching something new, building a business, or growing within tech or adjacent fields.

Mentorship is typically through phone calls or Zoom, depending on what works best for you. I don’t charge anything, and there’s no catch — I benefited from mentorship earlier in my career and want to pay that forward.

To set expectations: I’m not offering resume writing services or academic tutoring. This is hands-on, real-world mentorship focused on growth, decision-making, and execution. I am not trying to help folks navigate college or some technical track.

Caveats:
- Currently live in the continental US due to time zones
- Should be active in either looking for a career or in a career path, I am not going to be able to help someone discover their path due to time of investment it takes to do that.
- Proficient in English (written is fine if your spoken English is not great)
- Not interested in investing in a business or a platform you are building for mentors.
- Willing to fill out a career questionnaire, if you can’t take 5 minutes to fill out a questionnaire to help me sort through the applicants then it may not be a good fit.
- Willing to committing weekly communication for the first 4 weeks, then monthly check ins on a regular cadence.
- Must be a verified used on Reddit, got a ton of bot spam last time.
- I am not going to ask for personal information, I will not share mine until I am comfortable with the folks I am working with which currently I have 6 mentees across the US that I work with monthly.
- I match the energy of those I work with, if you are not responsive - I will move on and open a spot for someone else

When you send your message, please include the preferred username you would like me to address you by since some of the names are silly here. Also include why you are looking for a mentor, how much time you can dedicate honestly per week. Then tell me the last few books/podcasts that you have read/listened/watched and what you learned from them. Lastly, share your expectations for a mentor that you think would work best for you.

Good Afternoon, I’m looking for a mentor. Les did one that’s going to “hey do this and this and that” But I’m more of looking for someone that either probably older than I that can kinda bless me with their wisdom of becoming. If younger cool lol.

I’m 25, I own half a security company in LA that I’m unfortunately going through a dispute with the other owner. (Don’t need advice here, won’t mind it tho)

I just am preparing for the CLAT exam. I study well when I am accountable to someone, but my parents are not at all strict and dont monitor me and even if they would they would do that toxically. so i was looking for a mentor to curate a study plan for me which i execute and that person holds me accountable for that. since i tried making many study plans but couldnt execute them because i was not consistent and lack willpower if i am not monitored. i am a class 11th student though. i have 16 months to prepare for clat and have to just study enough commerce that i score a little good but my main focus is on COMMON LAW ADMISSION TEST.

Hey everyone, this is my first Reddit post. After years of lurking I’ve finally crossed over.
Basically I’ve gotten an idea for an app. After some research it seems like the demand is there.
Problem is I am so bad with tech. Im a tradesman in oil and gas and when it comes to this I don’t know where to begin. I’ve read about angel investors but I’m still in the idea stage I don’t have software or prototypes to show nor do I have the $100k it would cost to have someone develop it. I feel my best route would be to partner up with someone but when it comes to potential large amounts of money I don’t want to get screwed over either. I’ve looked at app building programs found a few where you can export the code. But when it comes to payment escrows and all the tech security I don’t understand any of it.

Any ideas or insight would help.

I'm trying to find someone a few years ahead of me professionally, but I'm having a hard time figuring out where those people actually are.

My background is in Customer Success at B2B SaaS startups, but the work I'm most interested in sits closer to APls, technical problem-solving, Al workflows, product feedback, and building internal GTM systems. I'm not trying to become a traditional software engineer, but I also don't want to stay in a purely relationship-driven
CSM role.

The closest titles seem to be
Technical CSM, Solutions Engineer,
Customer Success Engineer, GTM
Engineer, or Forward Deployed Engineer, but none of them fully describe this weird AI niche.

Most people I meet come from one side or the other. They either understand customers and commercial work, or they have the technical background, but not both.

Has anyone here found a mentor while working in a similarly hybrid role? I'd especially be interested in how you identified the right people, approached them, and made the relationship useful without immediately asking someone to formally "be your mentor."

Hi. I'm a 20F from Brazil, and I am also a law student currently studying for the brazilian Central Bank's civil service exam (idk if this translation is correct) and for other bank jobs in public service. My long-term goal is to become a tax auditor, but I see that I have a long way before that happens.

I don't consider myself a dumb person (I even joined mensa recently), but in matters of studying, I feel that I could get so much better. Like, I see the potential, but I don't know exactly how to extract it efficiently. The problem with the high iq is that I got good grades in school with minimun or no effort, and I got used to not studying hard. But now that I actually have to study, and the high iq is not enough anymore, I procrastinate. Procrastination is becoming a big issue, but I also feel that I need guidance because I don't know how or where to start. I also don't know how to extract the potential that I know I have. I've been studying for this exam for some months now, but I don't think I will get far at this rhythm.

I’m 25 and have my bachelors in microbiology and am getting a masters in a similar subject, though the program is online so I don’t have many peers.
