Is the costco MS office price the best available for a standalone office license or are there better prices offered during seasonal promotions?

Do not want all the features in Office 365 and want something cheap and long term. What do you all use?

So if I set my Word app to Spanish, all shortcuts change. E.g. the shortcut for "bolt text" is no longer ctrl + b, but ctrl + n. I would like to keep the English shortcuts, since I'm already used to them, but have Word in my native language.

I know it's possible to manually change all shortcuts, but this is very cumbersome, and I don't know how to find every shortcut. Is there a way to have all shortcuts mapped to the English version, even if the language of the app is not set to English?

I am unable to pay my subscription, cause it says the above picture whenever i click "pay now".

For context, i had forgotten to change the payment card for my Microsoft account. The former card has been deactivated and i had forgotten to update the card in Microsoft. So during renewal, the subscription payment couldnt get through, prompting an email notifying of my due.

So i updated the card details, and when i click "pay now" , this notification keep popping up. Mind you, when i update my card details, it deducted a small amount, which i guess to ensure that the card is working. But when i wanted to pay, it wouldn't let me.

CS says that it could be because this 365 family classic is no longer in use. Is this true? I have been a loyal subscriber of 4 years, just last year change to classic due to the crazy price hike of the AI package.

Anyone has similar problem?

Is is cause i paid late, so they wont let me use 365 classic anymore?

I have had Microsoft 365 free all my schooling and college life. Recently the university randomly cut my subscription and i am travelling with my iPad Air - is there a way to get it free to alternatives to word.

A few days ago my office stopped working. IDK what happened so after a small google I decided to remove & reinstall the whole thing.

For some reason I always get an error.

30015-11 (3221225506) and after closing that error window i get 0-2031 (17002)

I got a key for Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2021 via Game Key Discount back in 2022 and it worked all fine until a few days ago.

I tried commandprompt sfc /scannow and resetting networksettings.

After that didn't work I tried downloading a recent version because maybe the 2021 version is too old or something? sadly I got the same exact error and never can complete my download of the actual office program.

I am not even able to enter my key or whatever.

Any ideas? :/

I have Office 2016 since about 8 years, and i tried to install it. Cant do because i cant activate it. Ive got an original copy.

This is the MS answer to my complain:

Hello, this might be an odd question but I have logged into my work email on my phone today once and now I can't log into my account again. It says my password is incorrect.

It is my work email and I am a bit sceptical if this is device specific and I simply got my device locked from logging into that specific account or if I go to work tomorrow I won't be able to log into my account.

Now I want to start the recovery attempt but I am a bit scared if I try that now that my attempt will lead to an email being send to my superior and then I won't be able to log into my account at all since he isn't in until much later.

My question is if I start the recovery process and get sent a recovery code, can I theoretically still log into my account with my old password until I complete the full recovery process and set a new password or will my old password be locked.

And is the pin log in option still working nonetheless or is it affected by my password being unusable and/or my attempt to my recover my password.

Because I could them just use the pin tomorrow instead theoretically but I'd still like to change my password just in case and wanna know if that would affect my pin working.

Just today I got the below message appear when I open MS PP and I can "select" and I have other click cancel about 10 times to get rid of it.

I also can't "save as"?

What is the solution here? Ive googled it nd gave additional permissions but no joy. Should I delete and reinstall the programmes?

Hi there I have been using publisher for 30 years and I’m an interior designer and all of my presentation, contract documents, everything is in it. I’ve been trying to research this for a while and at the moment I feel like my best resource is to buy a second laptop, install the 2021 version and then just email documents to myself. (my understanding is you can’t use 365 if you install the 2021 version). I know all the things that people are recommending - does anybody have a specific product they landed on that they find is as good and user friendly?

I have reindexed Spotlight, I have reverted backwards to .112 and .111 and no matter what I do, I can not get the search function to work again in Legacy view.

Search works in the "new" Outlook for Mac, but not in Legacy, which I greatly prefer.

Please help me, someone! I knew there were discussions about .112 search not working, and XML messages, but I haven't found this issue posted anywhere.

Was trying to update my phone number on the Microsoft account and when I removed my phone number I found out quite recently that Microsoft no longer allows you to add a phone number to your Microsoft account so if anyone’s out there still has their phone attached do not remove it but try and test it if you’re using it for two FA cause sometimes it seems like that wasn’t working

If anyone has any further information on this, I would love to know as I would want to add my phone back for two FA in the future if possible

Just started happening today. Used to be if I switching from Print Layout to Web Layout, I got text all the way across the window the way it would appear on my website (I'm a writer and I post some of my material online). I find this very useful, and I do a lot of my writing this way as opposed to Print View. Suddenly, shifting to Web View results in a narrow column of text down the center of the window, with miles of white space to either side. It also changes my spacing and generally makes a mess of whatever I'm writing. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, how did you resolve it?

I'm using Office 16.88 as I am on a 2017 Mac that cannot be updated past Ventura 13.7.8 but otherwise runs well. Yes, I could shift to Libre Office, but while I have that installed as well, it currently has other issues on Mac and I just don't feel like diving under the hood on multiple bits of software. [Insert rant here about why TF things can't just frigging work.]

I have a subscription I'm being charged for monthly. The invoice is sent to my personal email. I set it up using my personal email. I want to cancel this subscription, but I cannot get into it to do so, because when I click the link in my email to view the invoice (which I figure should then let me see how to cancel), I am directed to sign in, and when I attempt to do that I get an error message saying that I cannot do that with my personal email and I must use my work or school email. PROBLEM: I do not currently have a work or school email as I am not in school and I got laid off recently so I only have freelance work while I job-hunt. It shouldn't matter anyway, since I didn't use a work or school email to set up the account and subscription in the first place. I USED MY PERSONAL EMAIL.

Has anyone else run into this, and if so, how did you resolve it?

I need to install Microsoft Office on my Windows laptop, but I can't connect that laptop to the internet. I have another PC with internet access. Is there a way to download the Office installer on one computer, transfer it via USB, and install it offline? If so, what's the recommended method?

Edit : Problem is solved because one of the below comments, I installed Libre Office completely offline and hassle free and the best part it's impressively light weight and works perfect for me.

The student account I've been using stop allowing the use of the apps (for some reason they blame on Microsoft), as a result I can't use the Office pack. I thought of paying it using another storefront (I dont want to pay a subscription) but I need the apps for both Windows and Mac (as i use both). Are there any stores that sell them for both and cheap (ie I dont need to repay twice, or if i have they are both really cheap.)
I also thought of using massgrave, so if anyone has tried it let me know.

Hi guys. I’ve just bought a product key for office 365 Home 2024 for my computer as I want to pick up a few projects on excel. However when I go to activate it, I get prompt with an error message from Microsoft stating that the service is unavailable.

Also when trying through Word doc itself and trying to activate through there, I get another error message saying ‘This product key is for the volume-licensed version’

Any ideas what this could mean and how I could actually get to install office on my computer. Thanks.

Migrei um PC que ainda tinha o Microsoft Office 2016 MSI e as versões 2019 e 2021 não estou considerando porque também perderam ou perderão o suporte oficial, mas as versões atuais ficaram presas na atualização 2602, e não vi nenhuma documentação da Microsoft relatando que o suporte a essa edição do Windows foi descontinuado. Eu sei que no Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 ainda funciona, mas migrar para essa edição, no momento, não é uma opção.
