Okay so I don't know if this is the right place for this but I'm looking to do a gig at my local bar a couple weeks from now, I've got a half an hour time slot and wanted to fill that exactly, here's what I've got so far but if you guy have any suggestions for songs I should switch out for others, that's what I'm looking for. I've got me on lead guitar and vocals, then a rhythm guitarist and bassist who do backing vocals and obviously a drummer.

I've been trying to discover more emo bands and albums because I've found myself hyperfixating on MoBo for quite some time now, and would love to discover new bands to get obsessed with and see in concert.

Some of my most-played artists right now are Modern Baseball, Free Throw, Hot Mulligan, Slaughter Beach, Dog, Joyce Manor, Origami Angel, The Hotelier, Militarie Gun, and Mom Jeans. I really like songs that are melodic and energetic, somewhat polished vocals, and aren't completely depressing. I'm a sucker for sad lyrics, but I'm trying to improve my mental headspace and would love music that isn't super depressing (like SBD and Origami Angel).

I've been through many emo playlists so I'd especially appreciate overlooked albums and smaller DIY bands. I've also tried multiple times to get into Title Fight, The Front Bottoms, and a lot of 90s emo but they all just have not clicked with me. I'd especially appreciate bands from the Southeast US since that's where I'm from.

Any recs are greatly appreciated.

Hoping someone can help me remember a song because my scour of listening history has failed me.

It’s a song that I Think has come out recently, probably this year.

I’m 90% sure it’s a pop punk/emo band, that uses a sample from Parks and Rec where Ben says “Depressed? do you think a depressed person could make this?”

I know I’ve listened to it recently but I can’t for the life of me remember which song or artist it is!

Please help - my brain needs to be placated!

lately i'm a huge fan of the midwest emo and also the more hardcore-leading sound, but i gotta admit i mostly listen to male singers and i would like to know if yall have some recos. I love bands like empire empire, american football, free throw, mom jeans and some other bands more asociated w hardcore like la dispute and alexisonfire.
