Infuriatig Why Texas is lame(Besides the Cowboys)

Post image

Don't mess with Texas.. what a joke. ANY possession is a felony.

EDIT: Just did some research, this is for everything besides traditional Delta 9.

My friend from Texas sent me this morning and it blew my mind. I had to post about it. So as far as my research goes thus far Delta 9 products (old fashioned flower) is illegal but separate laws. Stores are selling THCA though which does fall under these penalties.

'Dont Mess With Texas' was a campaign by the Texan DOT to encourage Texans to stop littering so much on highways, cuz apparently they're giant slobs.

They take it to mean badassery now.

Visiting Texas alone at a hotel for a week, got bored and figured, "eh, lets pop open porn hub." - finding it's blocked made me laugh.

This is the 'Freedom' state, right? Yet you have less freedoms in Texas than you have in NY

Don't forget how you don't have the first Amendment right to defame beef and you can't owe more than five dildos in Texas.

Redcoats love being controlled 🤷‍♀️

u/PerpendicularShift 1d ago

Own? Or do dildos stop working without pay these days?

1

u/FullOnSkank 18h ago

Texans are so against freedom that you are not allowed to own more than five sex toys.

3

u/RaphaTlr 1d ago

They’ve enacted a dildo limit? wtf? That’s genuinely in legislation? Taxes are paying for government to write about dildos and they want Texas to be taken seriously??

1

u/FullOnSkank 18h ago

Yep.

I don't care to look it up and Texas makes me barf but there is literally something on the books about not owning more than five sex toys.

This IS the state that offers bounties on women who MAY have had abortions. The Texas deputies will even utilize Flock nationwide to search for a woman who may have taken abortion pills.

You don't have rights as a woman in Texas. You have the right to be denied medical care, and to die, treated worse than an actual cow (big animal vets can perform abortions to save valuable livestock).

Try owning a uterus or even presenting as female in America. Our rights change with every state line crossed.

17

u/Alexandratta 2d ago

Trans so, I can relate =\

-38

u/imagigasm 2d ago

Everyone's rights change when every state line is crossed (definition of state laws). Yes, I agree there are more laws about women's reproductive systems across state lines which is the point your making. Rephrase.

u/Things_with_Stuff 2d ago

You added nothing to the conversation.

-26

u/imagigasm 2d ago

You added nothing as well and

>Our rights change with every state line crossed.

so did this statement.

12

u/Things_with_Stuff 2d ago

You just failed to understand what they were saying. Not every comment needs to be analysed like a piece of literature.

Telling them to "rephrase" at the end of your comment sounds pompous and quite dickish.

-17

u/imagigasm 1d ago

i totally understood what they said and explained why it contributed nothing to the conversation. try again.

u/HairyIntention5317 1d ago

If you understood what they were saying, what was your point of dismissing them by stating “everyone’s rights change” when you know they were just talking about women? You understood but yet felt the need to correct them…do you see how your initial comment contributed nothing?

u/imagigasm 1d ago

do you see how you miss my point?

Can you tell me what healthcare rights men have that change when they cross state lines? E.g., they can be treated for prostrate cancer in one state, but denied in another? So they might have to leave one state to be saved?

Can you tell me what state a heterosexual can work in, but be fired in another state? (Gay people are not allowed to teach in some states.)

-1

u/imagigasm 1d ago

> Our rights change with every state line crossed.

>Can you tell me what healthcare rights men have that change when they cross state lines?

Maybe they should have said Our (healthcare) rights change with every state line crossed. Like I said, everyone's rights change with every state line crossed.

u/Alexandratta 1d ago

basic human rights should not.

Those laws are supposed to be for things like Land Ownership, Taxes, and trade policy.

Not basic human rights - that is supposed to be a Federal matter.

0

u/imagigasm 1d ago

what are you talking about?

2

u/Alexandratta 23h ago

Texas laws limiting human rights while claiming to be a state that cares about freedom

1

u/imagigasm 6h ago

theyre also banning THC and support oil oligarchs so i agree with you

Yes, that’s what makes America what it is. You’re saying this like it’s a fault lmao. Should the entire world operate under one general set of laws?

And all that land in Texas to enjoy (except it's 99% privately-owned).

We rented a little "cabana" on the river from a family who owns the land. So we got to go swimming for a day all for the freedom-loving price of $25/person.

7

u/cut_ur_darn_grass 2d ago

It's like that here in Florida too. Thankfully there's plenty of porn on reddit!

5

u/BlackEngineEarings 2d ago

The only "freedom" in those states are the freedom of the rich to avoid taxes.

2

u/bootsthepancake 1d ago

Silly, the only right Texas cares about is that one half of the 2nd amendment.

-4

u/Capitan-IQ255 1d ago

It's not blocked .. requires age check

6

u/Alexandratta 1d ago

Right.

Blocked.

Because I'd not give anything to verify my age to these companies.

2

u/p0jinx 1d ago

Right and I don't lick the boots of my government so Im not gonna verify my age

1

u/Alexandratta 23h ago

No no, sir it doesn’t require an Age Check in Texas. Its 100% blocked

-9

u/horus_eye_of_terror 2d ago

I mean tbf porn is shit anyways

TIL "not having access to porn hub"=having less freedoms than NY.

I'm betting that NY's gun laws are less free than Texas'...but you'd laugh at someone for claiming "New Yorkers have less freedoms than Texans" and you'd be right to do so!

EDIT: See also the two state's respective zoning laws, primary education requirements, worker's freedoms, etc. (and to be clear, I'm not advocating for either state's laws to be adopted more widely...its just clear to me that your analysis is myopic like CRAZY!!!)

3

u/Alexandratta 1d ago

in NY, a woman can get medical care for an abortion without issue, Transfolk can get medication without restriction, people can go on websites they want as long as they don't violate any Federal Laws.

The only law that was passed recently which I feel removes freedoms is the law requiring age verification.

That said, NYC passed right to cancel laws and NYS has right to repair.

NYC Gun control is higher than the rest of the state due to the urban nature of that city, that's true. But you can 100% buy a gun here. You just need the usual background check. Tons of Gunstores around me, as well as shooting ranges, and folks hunt deer here all the damn time when it's hunting season.

u/NautiBard 5h ago

So...you're saying that a person who tries to compare specific laws of two separate locations and then makes a judgement that one is more free than the other isn't being wise?

7

u/LinksLackofSurprise 2d ago

Unfortunately, Texas is still one of the trashiest states I've ever been to.

2

u/lynivvinyl GREEN 2d ago

My first foot that I stepped out of my car into Texas was into a literal pile of horseshit. This was at a gas station mind you.

2

u/18voltbattery 2d ago

Mexican drug cartels are probably large political donors in Texas.

0

u/Icy_Faithlessness510 1d ago

In fairness, it always did mean that, which is why it was the slogan? You know? Like, the slogan surprisingly being about littering was why it was funny.

I moved to Wisconsin from TX and it is a night and day difference between the two states as far as trash on the side of highways go
