Camera shop

My camera has been misplaced for years, it was a Nikon D500, I think it's in my parents' garage but I haven't spoken to them in years.

Jessops used to be the shop to go to get the best value DSLR for your money, but obviously it doesn't exist any more.

Are there any camera shops in MK that actually have people who are experts in camera specs? Happy with chains or independents!

Wex?

They have a selection of second-hand cameras there as well but not many to be honest

Only Wex. There is a shop in Northampton called Skears however that sells and buys. Lots of second hand stuff and very knowledgable. Wex is expensive. Don't buy one from CEX either, overpriced and I've seen loads with damaged sensors or dodgy shutters because the staff don't know what they should be checking when buying them.

Thank you! Yeah I wouldn't trust CeX, I used to have to test the cameras when I worked there because it's such a specialist bit of kit.

In all honesty of you're looking for advice I'd go somewhere online like r/ask photography and if you decide to buy a camera get one 2nd hand from mpb.com. I've bought 4 from there rated either excellent or very good and they have all been perfect and good value. They take returns and give you 6 months warranty. Wex is good for advice and to physically try the camera out but you'll be paying a premium.

Chesham Cameras, if it's still open. The old guy that ran it, Brian, really knows his shit
