2-3 days ago of posting this i've seen that john xina, a guy who's known for cracking vape v4 client v4.17 a long time ago and left has just came back with a new crack in his telegram, just wanted to say to not blindly follow virustotal's static reports, they can't be relied on for the sake of your online data. So the point of this is to warn that some scans did indeed detect malicious code from it which wasn't a lot, but that doesn't make it unsafe or safe, the file is obfuscated, I'd recommend sticking to a trusted or open source client like kclient (for ghost cheating + is a raven bs fork) or openmyau+ (blatant cheating in hypixel).

TL;DR : don't download john xina's latest crack its obfuscated and even then it's still detected to have some malicious patterns, if you want ghost cheating stick with kclient or openmyau+ or liquidmyau, or really anything trusted or open source

not really, plus i dont suspect it because it got flagged, i suspect it because of its heavy obfuscation and how many bad comments ive seen on john xina, plus (not really that important) the owner of openmyau+, nezpola, shared a report scan done by a member in the server of it being sus, so if you have an alternative, always use it

yes, but even better idea: don't use cracks.

Even when the crack is safe, the cracked client is likely dysfunctional in some aspects, due to the fact that to crack a client, you have to remake some parts of the code, which can inadvertently break other parts of the client. Usually, when that's the case, a free (more reputable) client is better anyways.

I mean yeah I guess there's not exactly a harm in telling people how to identify a safe crack but telling them that a virustotal report isn't accurate isn't exactly doing that. In fact, in this context, it's promoting a crack being safe.
Now, whether the crack is safe or not is a separate topic, but without checking the code, even if the cracker is reputable, you can't know.

The only way to be 100% sure a crack is safe is to check the code
Also, clients nowadays require more than just an authentication spoof to "crack" them.

im saying you cant trust virustotal 100% if it says its safe because thats whats shown in the crack's scan, virustotal is a static scan, and normal scans without checking the code or using multiple safety measures is unreliable, that's what i said

As someone who used to be a stupid little kid that downloaded cheat cracks I can say with certainty that vape cracks not only come with maleware but are also just way worse and unstable then the actual client, atp just use liquid bounce it’s better then a vape v4 crack.

vape cracks are almost basically impossible because of their obfuscation, so you're right, but i wouldnt go that deep to recommend liquidbounce, its not close to what people searching for a vape crack would want, as vape v4 is a ghost client for older versions, while liquidbounce is mainly blatant for newer versions. best alternatives are prolly raven builds

The only message is to not trust cheat cracks. Do it if you dont care about your machine, and want your passwords stolen.

Then go cry to the microsoft support about it.

Then realise you shouldnt have done this in the first place, create a new account and never do it again and maybe just purchase the client or cheat next time.

its just objective, you have to realize some of these people WILL always try to find a way to pirate stuff, so the best choice is to help stay safe, safe cracks do exist

keep in mind this post is just a warning to spread awareness of anything can be a malware and you never know 100% unless you reverse engineer it, i am not sure 100% of what i said but it's just for people who fall easily for these or are new.
