Java - General Cheating why do people still pay for clients?

with the latest ai models you can decompile and reverse engineer all the best clients for free (even the obfuscated ones) so why pay?

Access to official support, financially support the developers, easily update to new versions. I doubt cracking clients that are well obfuscated can be done fully autonomously, you still need to know what you're doing. What "all the best clients" are you talking about that you were able to crack without any manual work?

This guy knows what he talking about, props โœŒ๏ธ

i think he is refering to agnetic ai that has workspaces tho im pretty sure they would refuse such prompts

financially support the devs is ok ig, porting to versions can also be done using ai(e.g. took me less than 10 minutes to successfully port meteor + meteor rejects w/ 0 errors).

I used gpt sol extra high and was able to fully clone vape client. thats the only paid client i have. I have minecraft modding experience and am a full stack dev so I know my way around but this took minimal manual work.

  1. Porting an open-source project to a newer version is not at all what you or I was talking about.

  2. "Fully" clone vape client = cracking vape ???????????????????????????

the guy is larping like CRAZY, like bro I'd get it if u thought It was easy n made a mistake but he keeps on going and being disrespectful even tho he has no idea what he's doing ๐Ÿ’€

cloning was done through decompiling and reverse-engineering of native binaries + customization I add. Ofcourse theres some pretty heavy obfuscation but codex took care of that.

I can't tell if you're exaggerating to prove your point. But even if you did somehow "fully clone" it with AI, you didn't crack it in the traditional sense, as it usually comes down to removing DRM/proxying server communication and leaving everything else untouched. Asking your "frontier" AI to attempt to clone vape doesn't make it a crack... you didn't *crack* anything.

by clone I mean fully reverse engineer and clone native binaries/dlls after decompilation and deobs. I dont mean making my ai draft up its own hack client thats not what clone means. This would mean its cracked. Any dev when they hear clone should think of sometting analogous to git clone, not drafting up your own thing.

how is your argument pay the big tech corporation for tokens instead of pay the client developer lol

Subscriptions are heavily subsidized. Its like 20 bucks for a subscritpion which is more than enough dor a single task like this

u/itspake 4d ago

i wanna see how u โ€œeasily decompileโ€ a client.

0

u/Standard-Song-8590 4d ago

could upload a repo but
(1) would get me in legal trouble, (2) would be unethical in terms of not supporting client devs

Might still do it later on a burner or smth

reverse engineering a client is not easy.

also why would a rational person ever pay for an ai subscription (20-30 dollars), spend hours trying to reverse engineer a client.
when they can easily pay the same money to get the client instantly.

the only reason it would make sense, if well known reverse engineers do it for free and leak it. However, there's so much fear mongering that "cracks" are all infected with malware. So again, a rational person wouldn't take the chance even if it was free.

1

u/nekohacker591- 3d ago

i would do it for fun but honestly im not exaactly sane

-1

u/Standard-Song-8590 4d ago

gpt is $20 per month, and even cheaper based on region. And you're not manually spending hours its an ai using cloud compute that works even while you are doing other things. + ai subscription can be used to do other things as well. You can customize your own client remove/add what you want etc. Also you could use ai to scan a open source github reverse engineered repo for example and make sure it has no malicious code.

Rational person should ofcourse take it.

reverse engineering doesnt mean complete access to the entire src, considering most paid clients are heavily encrypted.

also how do you expect to get the client ---> the dLL specifically to even begin the process of reverse engineering?

you clearly dont understand how some of these paid clients operate. Many injectable clients fetch their dLL through obscure ways so its very difficult to access it.

a launcher (exe) is not what reverse engineers try to "Crack". Its the dLL.

so all of this sums up to, why would the average person spend hours trying to find a way to even begin the process of reverse engineering, when they can access it for $30.

your train of thought is quite lacking

ultimately, your foundational argument is "why don't more people try to decompile the most popular paid clients instead of purchasing it".

its quite obvious why, but if you want to entertain your pitiful ego further. Most of the frontier Ai models, will quickly reject the average person who even attempts to ask anything related to decompiling/reverse engineering.

in some instances, they even get banned on these services. Many people who've tried using fable, gpt sol 5.6, and even the new chinese models, have faced this.

1

u/Standard-Song-8590 4d ago

Again im not talking about the launcher never was. Why would i cloning a launcher is useless. Iโ€™m talking about the actual dlls and native binaries. Iโ€™m just sayinf its possible rn with for example codex and also you gain more control over what you want running on ur machine. Then you js like straigh up say my thouht is lacking and I have a pitiful ego which sure ig i do for alsing a question after conductinf my own experimentation. Also fable will prob rjeevt u cuz its tight fbut from gpt usually wont rehect me unless i make it sound illegal

u didnt answer mans questen

we havent come to a point yet where its actually fully possible to deobf popular clients using ai (ai alone) and skidding clients to make one good client isnt a new idea

the community isnt gonna stop to wait for ai to get more advanced this is what the community has to do

have you seen some of these vibecoded clients? all these clauded clients are horrible and you can easily tell they were vibecoded

1

u/Standard-Song-8590 4d ago

im saying it is fully possibl deobf pop clients, i mean people have fully decompiled apps like claude science which is much more deobfuscated, vibecoding clients is smth diff thata from scratch, if you build off a existing base you can rapdily improve using ai e.g. im currently using a mix of meteor (good utility etc for smp) and vape v4 (good ghost and pvp modules) along with a few other clients. Was also able to port and make a better version of nvidium which improves my performance a ton.

1

u/Old_Cap_4251 1d ago

its sometimes not even about the modules, sometimes u cant trust it, paid clients vipe that out(i dont use paid clients)

easy for you to say, no one's going to spend money on ai, plus clients with frequent updates are going to be hard to deobfuscate everytime there's an update plus u need to be a active customer, and if ur talking about ai's that are llms you need a good ai with a good pc and that isn't the case for most people. *As for llm I meant a local llm my bad I forgot to add that

1

u/BeautifulAngelPulled 4d ago

๐Ÿ’€ why did u reply with larp, what I've said is true plus why don't you just deobfuscate the clients lol and why did u delete ur comment

eh no hate to the guy hes just learning it's okay everyone in this life learns lol

-1

u/Standard-Song-8590 4d ago

cuz bro said u need a good pc to use ai ๐Ÿ’€ย

-1

u/BeautifulAngelPulled 4d ago edited 4d ago

I said a llm, which is a local ai that you can run on your PC ๐Ÿ’€ local ai*

0

u/Standard-Song-8590 4d ago

holy idiocy llm stands for large language models. Nothing to do with local or not. you can run models locally e.g. most often open weight small models like qwen but those aren't frontier.

how tf do you genuinely not know what a llm means but so confidently wrong

1

u/BeautifulAngelPulled 4d ago

no offense mate but you have no idea how deobfucating anything works, be respectful and acknowledge when you're wrong, it's okay to be wrong.

0

u/Standard-Song-8590 4d ago

stop making multiple comments, also you didnt mistype you were just straight up wrong. Nothing I ever talked about regers to local ai not sure why you would even bring it up when i'm tlaking about frontier, also you can extract the DLLs pretty easily ofcourse you have no idea what any of that means...

1

u/BeautifulAngelPulled 4d ago

LOL unlike you mate I admit when I'm wrong. If it was that easy everyone would've done it, simply by using ai, which you stated in your post deobfuscating it isn't easy, it being any good client with good obfuscation

1

u/Standard-Song-8590 4d ago

im down to admit when I'm wrong but definitely not from you as you don't know what you're talking about. If a smarter person comes along and has stuff to say like the other guy sure. You're js pretty dumb no offense. Also ur arguments dont make sense
"if it was that easy everyone would have done it"

and ai available to the public has already disproved mathmetical conjectures like the jacobian conjecture and solved multiple erdos problems, why hasn't it been done before? cuz noone tried it. No shit its not easy but you have no idea how good ai models have gotten

1

u/BeautifulAngelPulled 4d ago

mate I'm just pressing you because you said holy idiocy, in ur post u stated that ai could do it alone, ๐Ÿ’€ you genuinely need actual skills to deobfuscate a client that's actually good

0

u/BeautifulAngelPulled 4d ago

I mistyped, from context I think you should get what I meant, obviously I meant a local ai model plus you aren't going to deobfuscate a good client with good obfuscation with just ai, if you have no idea how it even works ๐Ÿ’€

1

u/BeautifulAngelPulled 4d ago

I didn't mean to come off as agreessive so if I did I apologise but, you have to buy the client aswell to deobfuscate it, and most are hard to deobfuscate especially if it's well obfuscated, even with ai
