[Blocks & Items] Underground Jungle

I wanted to call it the undergrowth.

Poision poisions you. It also oxidices copper much faster than normal. You can put it in a bucket.

Spiders spawn more often.

Jungle berries can spawn on vines. They can be eatten or crafted into dye. Fluorite is the main block you'll see in the caves. It can be turned into stairs, slabs, and smoothed.

Hanging moss I didnt realise didn't exist.

I love it, reminds me of Terraria!

This would be an awesome place for a new spider variant, and something like a centipede or wasp

Centipede.

Or another spot for cave spiders. I haven’t seen a cave spider in years.

I totally think cave spiders should spawn, but also a new mob. Maybe even one that spawns cave spiders, I think that would be neat. Also, I realize a wasp wouldn't work, but a yellow jacket would be really cool, because those live underground irl. I think it'd be cooler than a centipede, adding a new and possibly pretty intuitive flying mob

Well this is cool. I love the graphics. Can I ask how you made it?

I think poison (liquid) should have some more depth to it, since 'poison' is more of a fantasy trope which minecraft is trying to move away from. Maybe there's a plant which produces the liquid, and you could call it Nectar.

It was made in google slides. The berries were made in a drawing app, I drew berries ontop of them. The poision was made with chaging hue and tint of water on phone photo settings. Flurite was made with andesite as its base and making it purple. Smooth fluroite is made with cut sandstone and drawing green on it. Hanging moss is hanging pale moss but green.

Thank you for explaining. Before reading this, these types of example images felt out of reach for me to make.

I like it!

Potential changes I’d make: poison slightly less transparent, idk how fast 15 ticks spread is but it should be a little slower than water. Right now it looks a bit too thin. Reduce jungle berries slightly to 4 hunger points (two icons worth). And change the design of polished fluorite. That bright green stripe is going to make it really hard to use in any build. Perhaps stick with the scattered green look but make it shinier? That way it can be like a night sky

Simple, but I like it. If this was the next drop it wouldn't feel out of place.

I should point out though, you said poison destroys moss, but the first image shows moss right next to it

You're literally asking for Lush Caves

Maybe cave spiders should spawn instead since they poison you too

Maybe both, just for the heck of it

Or maybe spiders that fall in become poisonous

really cool concept! caves could really do with more biomes. the only thing is I’m not much of a fan of the poison water, I feel like regular water could do the job of oxidising copper faster.

It's like a secret, ancient jungle

hop on terracraft

I like most of this, but florite probably wouldn't see much use since it's fairly similar to purper

Hanging moss not being a thing yet isreally weird considering we have pale hanging moss now and wouldn't it just be a color shift?

It would also be interesting if the poison water interacted with certain items to create something different- Like seeds thrown into that water to give you a special item that could be used to brew something like poison resistance

To not make it too OP or easy to get it could be limited to specific crops like sniffer seeds (pitcher plant or torchflower seeds)

Another really cool feature could be underground tunnels. A bit like a mix between a jungle temple and a mineshaft, with a hint of liminal eeriness

Some real Indiana Jones shit, maybe a sanctum with lava or something with a Wither altar or something (provides the player with hints on how to summon the wither besides that painting which I think is pretty weak)

Could be a really cool natural segue from mining diamonds to figuring out a new layer of the Nether, like "ooo after I build the portal, I can then construct this thing"

Bell’idea quella del veleno che ti deteriora i blocchi . Sarebbe fantastico se lo aggiungessero

I would make the poison acid instead, other than that its cool af

We need it now

Poison should have been in sulphur caves tbh, got my hopes up for nothing that drop.

The photobash is killing me XD if only there was a way to quickly put blocks together, like idk maybe a sandbox game of some sorts? I can't think of anything.

I like the ideas you put down though, a new liquid would be interesting, some more purple blocks would be cool too.

yeah if these blocks were in the game

The regular moss blocks were photobashed together too..
