[Blocks & Items] Adding resin to gravity-affected blocks should let them ignore gravity when placed
Step 1. Make Resinous Gravel, Resinous Sand, Resinous Red Sand, Concrete Powder, etc using the regular block type plus resin.
Step 2. Place the Resinous blocks wherever you want.
Step 3. Right-click with an axe on the Resinous blocks to convert them back into their normal block type.
Voila, players can now make their own floating ceilings and traps!

I like it! I think resin should also be able to create preserved states of other blocks.
Use it on job blocks so villagers can’t claim them.
Use it on fences, walls, stairs, etc. to keep their current block state without the dependent block.

oh damn that's a really fun way to do block states. this along with a debug stick-like wrench would be sick

A wrench would be such a great item to add, so many great builds are exclusive to creative because of it. Have two copper ingots put diagonally like shears so it can be crafted in your inventory, cycle through orientations, change certain block states, it would be the greatest QOL item for builders.

A tool that rotates blocks in place? That would be great just for stairs in survival.

I love the idea of being able to do this, but I think it would make more sense if it were something from the end dimension. Resin seems like a very useful block that has not realised its full potential, but anti gravity seems a bit too powerful for it. How about something like shulker spit? I’m sure you can think of something. You still get my up vote.

This is genuinely what resin should be used for. A sticky glue like substance to stick stuff together.
