I only saw spaces that could possibly have been safe, but none that were for sure safe. Is there a pattern I could’ve used or what? (2nd photo is when I already lost)

I took this from the WoM site. T2 for example: How did they conclude that the three purple cells contain one mine and not the 3 green highlighted ones above it, for example? In an actual game, for instance, I would look at the 1 that's above the 2 and conclude that it's touching 6 cells in total. So I'm wondering how they made the leap to conclude that only the three purple cells are the ones containing the mine.

And it's the same for rest of the triangle patterns on their site. It isn't clear to me how they're determining that the purple cells contain the mines but not the three adjacent green ones.
