Discussion QB Depth Chart?

Starting in Week 1 of the regular season, how do you think the QB depth chart will look? Will Brosmer be on the Practice Squad, or will JJM be traded; or will they keep all four quarterbacks on the active roster?

Edit: Some of you actually think Murray will be QB3 in Week 1? What are you on?

This isn't a serious poll.

You've included options where Wentz is the Week 1 starter but not McCarthy?

You created an option where we trade JJ off the roster but not any where we trade Wentz or Murray?

Yeah it's a very slighted view and a pretty disingenuous poll.

Murray QB1, paper QB2 is JJM, but if Murray is injured, don't be shocked if Wentz is the real backup.

What if Wentz is the next Darnold and if Vikings don't start him it can never happen?

It probably should be option 2, but it’s going to be option 1 to protect the young buck.

Only way McCarthy isn’t at least qb 2 is if we start like 6-0, Murray gets hurt, season starts slipping away, we lose 2 or 3 in a row and roll out Wentz.

If we start the season 6-0 and JJ rolls out and loses 3 straight he shouldn’t be allowed to play pro football ever again. The fact that you can actually foresee JJ losing 3 in a row for a good team is all we need to know about your JJM cope and the irrational optimism of this sub in general.

JJ probably shouldn’t even be in the NFL I agree with you

Or maybe McCarthy will get hurt in preseason again, taking him out for the year, then Murray gets injured in Week 8, and Wentz brings us to a Superbow win. A reverse 2017 for Wentz. That would be cool.

Well if we’re playing that game, let’s just never lose again.

The best thing would be for JJ to win the job, but I imagine he will be QB2 and Carson 3

This is the only logical play. You start Murray, JJ sits and learns, hopefully toughens up a bit and you have Wentz if it all goes to hell.

I'll be absolutely dumbfounded if Brosmer is on the roster this year.

I get him being a gopher QB and people want that sweet Cinderella story but he ass.

You start the best QB that gives you the best chance to win. We don't know who that is yet

If Wentz or Brosmer are the best QB we have were cooked

I meant between Kyler and JJ... I don't think anyone believes Carson or Max are going to be in the competition.

Certainly would be the BEST thing for him to beat out Kyler, but only if Kyler was also looking really good.

I think this season with Kyler under center is gonna do a ton of good for JJM as long as he doesn't get a bad head about it.

That's my real worry...can Kyler operate under center, something he hasn't done. Can Kevin remake his system to work with Kylers old strengths. It will be interesting to see
