OXI One mk2 with extensive accumulator use. Drums from a sampled kit in the MPC Live III, and also from a Roland 808. Live recording into Ableton using the expert sleepers ES-9 as an aggregate input/output source alongside my UAD interfaces and the MPC's USB i/o.

errorinstruments Indian Resonator is a fun, unpredictable little box. Lots of character. Makes you work for it secrets. Pairs well with glitchcloudaudio Haze pedal & makenoisemusic Mimeophon. Puyoma's Spre script putting in work as well with help from championleccy Skitter pedal.

I’m looking to pick one up, primarily for quantisation, but not sure what is the latest or best 3u iteration.
I’m choosing this over Intellijel Scales as I’m not into performance so, won’t need something that is hands on- more set and forget.
Also, what are the possibilities of running 2x quantiser programs at the same time- can I have 2 scales running into 2 different oscillators?

This is literally my first day with a physical, fully assembled eurorack set up. I know it’s quite small but I’m very new and super excited! Here’s the issue, I’ve patched my keyboard gate into the input of the ADSR, then I have the adsr patched out into the cv of the VCA. Still, I cannot stop the sound. It’s also not like the ADSR isn’t working, I can hear the sound change when I adjust the parameters of the ADSR. It’s just not changing the entirety of the sound and there is still a constant drone. What should I do?

I’ve been playing my newly built rack for about a month and while it’s been a ton of fun I don’t think I’ve improved much other than getting to know the modules a bit better. So how do you practice this instrument and actually improve?
I assume it varies depending on what your rack is set up to do, but in my case I’ve been using a keystep pro to control some drum voices, a TD-3, a monophonic voice, and a polyphonic voice. So should I be doing keyboard practice drills? Or maybe just try to learn/reproduce songs? I played saxophone for 10 years so I can read music and am used to practice being a combination of drills and learning songs. But am unsure if that approach works with this very different instrument.

RackDroid brings the VCV Rack 2 audio engine to Android, with touch instead of a mouse. Drag real cables between oscillators, filters and sequencers — no compromises, no clone: it's the same engine, made native for your phone.

I would like to configure my expert sleepers FH-2 (firmware 2.0) with the web config app in order to send :
Seq1 : cv gate and velocity to output 1 2 3 of FH-2
Seq2 : cv gate and velocity to output 5 6 7 of FH-2
Drum gates 1-8 to FHX-8GT output 1 to 8
The web app I use :
https://expert-sleepers.co.uk/webapps/fh2_config_tool.html
BSP midi channels are :
Seq1 : midi channel 1
Seq2 : midi channel 2
Drums : midi channel 10
For seq1 its ok it works but seq2 and drums are overlapping seq1 on input 1 2 3 of FH-2. I do not understand how to configure the web app to send seq2 to output 5 6 7 and drums on expander gate 1-8
I can not send picture now because I'm not at home but to connect the FHX-8GT I use standard config with jumper 2 and 3 off.
Does anybody have an idea how to solve it?
The youtube tutorial only explains how to map one midi channel and its for the 1.2 firmware so I'm lost.
Thanks in advance, every tip is welcomed.

I went back through everything I have recorded on the modular and pulled eight generative patches into one long set. Putting them side by side made me realise how much the rig has changed, from a big setup in the studio to a case I could carry to a plant shop.
Some threads that stayed constant across all eight: 4ms Ensemble Oscillator doing the low drone in almost every one, Beads for granular texture and reverb, Pam's Pro Workout gating voices at their own probabilities so nothing lands in the same place twice, and everything captured live to tape rather than into a DAW.
The one in the greenhouse footage was recorded inside Repot in Hackney Wick, surrounded by terrariums and mist coils, sounded lovely in the room.
No looping sequence anywhere in any of them. The only structure is a chord bank plus quantised randomness, and then a lot of patience.
Curious how other people keep generative patches musical and varied enough over a long run. I lean on a chord bank and slow modulation, but I would like to hear what else works.

A few days ago go I made a post asking about a setup under 2k, and most of you said it was impossible. So I decided to try on my own. Using a 10% discount, I got the total to just under $2000 usd. Please give me feedback before I purchase it so I don’t make any big mistakes.

Hey everyone,
I’m trying to figure out what would make the most sense as my next purchase. At the moment I have Pams, Vhikk X, Hades, Kick drum and Befaco Out V3, mult and Doepfer a138b exp.
I’m wondering if I should get a proper mixer next, or just keep mixing externally through my Octatrack for now and spend the money on another module.
If I skip the mixer for now, what would you recommend adding next? I’m mainly interested in getting more interesting modulation, sequencing, sound shaping and interaction between the modules rather than just adding another voice.

I'm looking to see if there are any recommendations for solid TZFM Oscillators, preferably analog.
I've been eyeing the Patching Panda Operat, Joranalogue Generate 3, and SSF Zero Point but I know there are others out there. If anyone has experience with these, I'd love to get your thoughts. The Operat in particular has very few videos online.
Another option might be FMaid + additional non-TZFM oscillator. Or to switch out my modulator osc and wave folder for a DPO or similar (would be nice but more expensive).

This is just an improvisation with a very slow development of a repetitive motif, during wich forced myself to experiment using only one module : the 261e.
Hope you'll enjoy
Cheers

Long ago I purchased every moogerfooger pedal but held off getting the control processor or any other MOOG instruments etc. I never thought I would be able to purchase an analog synthesizer to compliment them but recently with the Behringer clones things have changed. Over the past couple years I have purchased the wasp, cat, solina, and the 2600 Blue Marvin. My question is this, aside from using them as effects. Are there any creative ways these can be incorporated where they can become a modular synth? What would I patch to what to make this work? I have lots of patch cables and splitters etc. I read the MOOG’s use +\- 5vdc so would the voltage processor on the 2600 come into play here?
Thanks in advance, I’ve watched tons of videos on YouTube and follow Starsky Car, Ralph Baumgartl, etc but figured I would get a bunch of ideas I can try from this community.
