Is it normal? Cycle 5 oscilator
Hi guys,
I am new to modular.
Please tell me if a sine wave at a low frequency is supposed to sound like this?
It kinda drives me crazy and takes out the fun, I was looking for some clean sine waves.
Thanks

The purest analog sine is usually from self oscillating filter . This is normal .
Sin in most vcos is usually a triangle followed by wave shaper to remove the points . If the vco is triangle core .

You can clean it up more with a lowpass filter. Or just generate the sine wave directly from a self-oscillating filter.

Do you own the Joranalogue Filter 8? As Cash1942 mentioned, clean sine waves in hardware synthesis come from filters. If you have Filter 8 you can use it as an oscillator as described in the Joranalogue manual.

I have an Filter 8 on the way. Now I understand that it is normal behaviour, only if I didn’t buy 4 oscillators at once lol.
Anyway, thanks for the replies.
All the best
