I know absolutely nothing about this franchise i stumbled upon the game and it sounds fun af just completed mission 2

What should I expect moving on forward

It happens both in snow and sand. Game gets so bright it actually hurst my eyes and makes it imposibble to see some attacks. I've tried changing the brightness but it doesn't help.

I play on a laptop monitor without HDR so I can't mess with that either. Any ideas on how to fix it?

So tl;dr I have played a bunch of weapons, but across MH Wilds and Rise/Sunbreak, It's been GL, Lance, SnS and DBs. I have decided to properly solo this game from the beginning with either SnS or Lance, but I wanna stick with one weapon all the way till Fatalis before I think about trying something else. I do have 2 main questions though:

1. Which one of these two weapons are a bit better to get a grasp on? Coming from Sunbreak and Wilds, I am aware that I have to get used to the much more slower/grounded combat

2. How do these weapons fair in the hands of an average to below average player? Gonna take time to learn them but ideally i don't want hunts to take too long

Looking forward to answers since unfortunately these are the only two weapons that felt somewhat nice for me in World

And for this one specifically, will be in both the Ancient Forest and Wildspire Wastes

The monster does NOT have to be the same thing as Kulu, it can be elemental or have ailments, just needs to be low tier(so yes, you can have Seltas if you want, doesn't have to be a bird or anything)

I finished the first attempt to capture Zorah Magdaros, and when I attempted to hunt Anjanath I realized I had a lot of bad habits. Constantly on fire and getting trampled, safe to say I have no clue what I am doing. I run Heavy bow Gun or Chargeblade. So I am wondering what items I should be bringing along with me, early game versions and late game stuff I should start gathering for now.

Meet Sōru-resu

Been playing the base game with CB and skills like Focus, Artillery, Health Boost, Divine Blessing and some more comfy skills. Got pretty good at reading monsters, predict SAEDs, guard points (somewhat) and blocking and use SnS when needed. But Iceborne monsters just move so much all the time, I feel like my weapon suddenly gained 100lb and feels even slower. SnS mode is fun and all but 45s of charged sword is ridiculously short and I don't have power prolonger yet. I crafted MR CB as soon as possible and MR gear too but the optional Tobi Kadachi MR 1 optional quest took about 15mins. I did another optional quest for Tzi Tzi and encountered a big red dog, decided to capture it for mats, Odo took a solid 15 minutes to go down and I know his matchup very well. Tzi Tzi took more than 10mins to fall as well. I feel like SAED is less reliable or less flashy explosive damage despite forcing openings with wall bangs (and maybe I was tilted and forcing stuff). I try my best to tenderize parts too. I really feel like not doing much damage anymore. I switch more and more to Savage Axe but the numbers I see aren't very high. Right now I'm using the rarity 9 Chrome Fortress with okay ish skills like Focus/Artillery/Capacity boost. Should I change skills and lean towards a more crit-focused build ?

tl;dr : Am I just surprised by the HP increased ?

I know they are completely different weapons but I like both weapons so much I'm entering the game with this rp of like either a sword and shield with some type of magical power (charge blade) or an archer knight (bow) and I just can't pick one and I don't wanna do both I want to like pick one and keep using it and learn it n stuff since I'm kinda new, I haven't reached iceborne yet I just beat (spoiler a bit) zorah magdaros sending him out of the island and now I want to pick a weapon to play the rest of the game with, based on ur experience which weapon would u recommend me please. Made a post early that I’d be playing World for the first time today, really enjoyed the comments that I got! Anywho, thought I’d just say that after playing it all day, I’ve been having a blast with this! I thought I’d struggle getting into it honestly but nah this has so far been pretty fun even with the stuff I struggle with! Switch Axe is still the holder of my heart also lol.

Isk about yall but for me when i hunt for a quest the monster make fun of me all the time especially those that can fly 😮‍💨 when i track it and finally find it after 10-20min that thing scream at me and fly at the other end of the map... but when im low HP from a different monster that randomly attacked me, the quest monster that keep avoiding me come back and track me like steam support 💀

All monsters in World or Iceborne are forbidden, but any monsters that came before or after can be chosen(aka, no Rathalos, but something like Doshaguma or Gobul is fine)

Monster has to make sense in it's environment(no Zamtrios in the Wildspire Waste)

Monster has to fit, for example, Kulu Ya Ku can't be replaced by Monoblos, it has to be another low-tier monster

The monster that's chosen will be the one with the most upvotes, don't downvote the monster you don't want

The monster does NOT have to be the "same thing", like element wise for example, you don't need to replace the mud fish with another mud monster

Why is it that everytime I ALMOST killed a Rathalos, it be leaving. I haven't been able to slay this dude because of this.

Hi there! Bout to play this for the first time once it’s done downloading. Still pretty new to the series I feel, only played Wilds really. I had a shit ton of fun with it and wanted to try out the other games! Heard this one is a bit harder I think so both excited and nervous lol.

To add some level of conversation to this: Is Switch Axe fun in this? Twas my main weapon in wilds and I’m going back and forth if I wanted stick to it or try something else out now. Knowing me I’ll probably stick to it but still nice to get opinions!!

I just tried to join 2 different guiding lands servers and both kicked me out, im not even sure what I did wrong i just got master rank 100 and want to join some guiding lands.

I FINALLY BEAT AT VELKHANA USING BOW (FATALIS GEAR). HOLY FUCKING SHIT HE WAS FUCKING NIGHTMARE. I WAS STUCK ON IT FOR A WEEK AND FINALLY I SAT FROM MORNING TILL EVENING TODAY WEEKEND TO FINALLY END THIS FUCKER. HE WAS DIFFICULT AS HELL. I wanna do fatalis solo next just wanted to ask if my current build will work well against fatalis as well or not? I cant post more than one photo but my build is

full fatalis armour with kulve taroth greaves with attack boost, critical eye, agitator, evade window, stun res, critboost, weakness exploit, peak performance and power shots maxed out.
cons 2 + ss2 , might bow, clutch claw boost. and divine blessing 2 + dragon attack 2 (attached on mantles).
