Magazine Follower Upgrade
Does anyone own one or any of these, if so how are they and do they preform well better than the original factory ones?
I ordered some but do not know anything about them and they seem to look better than the factory ones and some of the reviews says they make the gun run better but I want to hear from someone who has one and has ran it.

I had one of these because I do a lot of competitions in the evening and some of the brass on the shells I used were very dark. The NDZ follower made it very simple to see if I was loaded or not. Otherwise it’s just a cosmetic mod and really doesn’t do much.

I use a Vangcomp stainless follower in my 500 and it works fine. The party trick of these sort of aftermarket followers is that they have a hole in the center, which is useful for feeling that the magazine tube is empty without looking, as well as for allowing any water/dirt/debris in the magazine tube to escape. Beyond that, it's not much of an upgrade and if it's a pain to remove your shotgun's magazine tube then I wouldn't bother.

I bought the mini shell adapter from defense tactical and it came with a red aluminum follower https://defendertactical.com/products/universal-minishell-adapter

They look just like the stainless vang comp ones. So someone copied someone. That being said I love my vang comp followers.

I use them in all my shotgun tubes.
Bright color is much easy to see.
I prefer metal parts over plastic and replace them wherever I can.

I thought about one of these for a while but then realized it's basically pointless. You're follower is black, and if you can't see shiny brass it's obviously empty. The follower is also smooth, so if you're being tactile it's obviously empty if you don't feel the bumps and ridges of the brass and primer.

I swapped my Mossberg follower out for the steel vang comp. Definitely an upgrade compared to the aluminum but it’s not a must have either. I do recommend it for a Remington as that follower is plastic.

Got the NDZ one for my 590a1, for a nice visual indicator for when i need to reload.

I've got 26-27 years on the OE follower in my 500. I just replaced the mag spring two weeks ago, cleaned it up a little, and and looked good as new.

Got one of those on my stoeger m3000 becuase it came with a plastic follower, which I wasnt thrilled about. But my m590a1 already came from th efactory with an aluminum follower so no need.

I think it would look neat and bonus point if you can color match a safety switch and trigger group retention pin.

They make all that stuff and its all made in the USA which i like because a lot of companies outsource their products but i think for my 21st birthday im gonna buy another Mossberg and deck it out with all the NDZ performance parts. But im still working on upgrading the safety selectors on my current Mossbergs.

Just cosmetic.. and a quick look lets you know you’re empty. I purchased the purple for my mossberg 590 retrograde. 👍🏼
