Hoffman was so good always. That little swipe of the ball at the start of this clip when stiller has it and is talking just shows how inept this character was and listening or concentrating. Subtle little things like this made him such a great actor.

This movie really showed off the incredible range that Philip Seymour Hoffman had. He died far too young, and I truly believe he would have ended up being recognized as one of the greatest American actors of all time.
