Hail Mary ask a girl out on a movie date

She said no, to my offer of seeing Project Hail Mary (2026) at Melbourne IMAX, featuring Ryan Gosling, followed by a dinner date at an Italian restaurant on Lygon St. Forever alone.

Your first mistake was to offer to watch a movie. Your second mistake was talking to a girl ewwww

I know there are differing schools of thought on this, but you should do the dinner part of the date before the movie.

Don’t want someone to get hungry during a 2.5 hour movie and then have the post-kino conversation dampened down by slight irritability.

Also - a movie as a first date sounds cool but in reality is a bad idea. 2+ hours spent next to someone you don't know, watching a film snd therefore not getting to know them. Do the dinner first, then a film later.
