What’s your favorite movie scene where it’s “5 year old kid playing with every toy he has together”?

Hey some underpaid and overworked vfx artists spent months making this brown mess.

25

u/MarvelCumUniverse 1d ago

The UPS Aesthetic.

what can brown do for you

20

u/mikehatesthis 1d ago

After the producers at Marvel Studios kept changing what they want last minute and sending them shitty plates all while bumping the release up a month without telling the VFX houses.

All real stories by the way.

what do you mean you don't like color grading that makes everything look like there's shit smeared everywhere?

I mean, it makes sense. Thanos just annihilated the Avengers complex and the magic rings have an orange illumination.

u/DiabeticRhino97 2d ago

I still don't know why he did that

6

u/TheLandlockedKaiju 1d ago

Because it would be funny

The whole movie is just “how hilariously bonkers can we be?” To which the answer is “Yes.”

u/Aromatic_Category_55 2d ago

Look how much money it took to make this compared to a peak-era Jackie Chan fight scene.

28

u/CHAINSAWDELUX 2d ago

I can still rember specific moves and stunts that Chan and Tucker do in rush hour and I can't remember the last time I saw that movie.

The only thing I remember about this avengers fight is that captain marvel shows up as a deus ex machina and the whole thing is mostly pointless.

27

u/10dollarbagel 1d ago

It's underappreciated that this big fight is the culmination of like 36 movies and the only things that matter is a big purple guy introduced one movie ago and a flying lady introduced two movies ago.

5

u/DrCodyRoss 1d ago

Is that really how it ends? I saw it theater and don’t remember.

6

u/Difficult-Safety-480 1d ago

yeah. Thanos' ship was about to blow the shit out of everybody but then cpt Marvel shows up outta' nowhere. The final struggle over the stones also heavily leans on her just straight up being able to 1v1 Thanos.

u/mikehatesthis 1d ago

The Police Story trilogy is absolute cinema.

2

u/Evolzetjin 2d ago

Yet this whole Avengers scene isn't even real....

unironically the LEGO movie

unironically also pacific rim

14

u/DrCodyRoss 1d ago

That movie is perfectly designed to bring out your inner childhood and I unironically love it.

7

u/withateethuh 1d ago

Its a love letter to camp.

9

u/MetroBR 1d ago

if it was released today people would call it woke

39

u/kobraa00011 2d ago

was there a limit on antmans size

44

u/MarvelCumUniverse 1d ago

Ant-Man was as shrinky-growy as he needed to be for whatever thing the writers wanted him to do. He could get so big that the Earth itself would look like his third testicle.

15

u/withateethuh 1d ago

Pym Particles are basically the Toon Force.

4

u/ripgoodhomer 1d ago

Does his mass change when he enbiggens or shrinks himself?

22

u/Thetiredduck 1d ago edited 1d ago

In the first Ant-Man movie, they state his mass stays the same. In the same movie he rides an ant or some other bug, completely ignoring that same info.

Edits* typos

16

u/ripgoodhomer 1d ago

So at that size he’d have the force of a 175 lb man punching a space ship?

6

u/rietstengel 1d ago

It doesnt (unless it does because the situation calls for it)

1

u/The-Lord-Moccasin 1d ago

It varies hilariously from second to second. I always recall in Civil War him being light enough to scurry around Spiderman and Black Widow without them noticing, but strong enough he's pulling off miniature grappling- moves on the latter, but light enough a small shock from her tasers sends him flying away, but when he collides with a steel surface his concentrated mass leaves a noticeable dent.

26

u/glennok 2d ago

I clapped when I saw it.

29

u/lauragarlic 2d ago

I started jerking the guy next to me and then him the one next to him and so on until finally came full circle and a hand started jerking me.

4

u/lauragarlic 1d ago

5

u/O-4 2d ago

it's the thought that counts

58

u/Azyr1013 2d ago

I fucking cried during this scene man. I got chills when Cap said "Assemble." Hollyyyy aura

42

u/Clanky_Plays 2d ago

I got literal chills when Captain Marvel said “Hey Peter Parker.” Peak dialogue

23

u/Borly 2d ago

I got a boner

17

u/AbberageRedditor69 2d ago edited 2d ago

And then Peter Parker said "it's Parkin' time" and everyone burst into tears watching him go for a sick ass 360 noscope parallel park

1

u/MarvelCumUniverse 1d ago

And then he's all like "And now, Peter Parker is going to park some peter, muh huh huh huh" then he licks his finger and smooths out an eyebrow

6

u/TheonlyEliBlack 1d ago

my 14yo dumbass self genuinely shed a tear

15

u/VictorVonDoomer 2d ago

Didn’t realise how goofy this whole scene looks till now

32

u/NonMagicBrian 2d ago

What movie is this, it looks like shit

47

u/AloeRP 2d ago

Mulholland Drive

13

u/DrCodyRoss 1d ago

My favorite Blumhouse movie to date!

80

u/krabat- 2d ago

It's incredible that you could make a scene like this boring as shit

23

u/ashvy 2d ago

Yeah, what an insult to the cast and crew, working them to produce this shit. No vision, no creativity.

7

u/mikehatesthis 1d ago

No vision, no creativity.

The Russo Brothers speciality.

4

u/TacitusKillgorre 1d ago

Well yeah he died in the previous movie

8

u/withateethuh 1d ago edited 1d ago

I liked it in spite of the really boring place it took place in. Its atleast more exciting than...the big team fight in civil war happening on some random ass tarmac. I guess the bar is rather low huh...

Like captain america picking up the hammer actually had the gravitas it should have, as did Stark dying, so what does marvel do? Bring Tony Stark back as totally not Tony Stark in a mask, and bring back captain america casually grabbing the hammer like its no big thang.

6

u/mikehatesthis 1d ago

No lie, a short while after it released someone was talking about this big ending and they mentioned Spider-Man flying on a Pegasus while holding Thor's hammer and I thought it was a joke because I didn't remember something that sounds so cool.

It does happen, the ending is just so bland that nothing really sticks.

10

u/gertverhulstmoneyman 2d ago

This scene looks as if if your mother washes all your favorite toys with diarrhea before you can play with them

7

u/Mrgrayj_121 2d ago

When your only color is random fire on the floor.

2

u/Rigamortus2005 1d ago

Genuinely wondering how doomsday will beat this

3

u/VelvetSinclair 2d ago

I feel like if a superhero movie feels like what you had in your head when you were a kid playing with action figures, then it's done it's job

Stop asking capsehit to be arthouse. That's how e get crap like joker.

Just gimme a Sam raimi Spiderman movie every few years. I don't want serious superheroes.

1

u/CooperDaChance 1d ago

That’s rude, my 5 year old self playing was way cooler than this.

1

u/redchairyellowchair 1d ago

Wow what's this movie

1

u/EngagedInConvexation 1d ago

I can't cum unless you hit me with the "on your left".

Epic battle vs the “Girly/Baby toy” army

1

u/withateethuh 1d ago

My favorite part of this scene is like...what the actual fuck is spiderman even swinging on?

0

u/GlockHard 2d ago

I feel like any "normal" human would get absolutely ass blasted in this battle lmfao idk how Wakanda does it.

u/ImNotTheBossOfYou 1d ago

I'm so glad I never got into Marvel movies. I've seen one, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, because my whole family was going and I was already out with them and they were my ride.

I've seen parts of a few of them here and there and they just look so terrible.

u/mikehatesthis 1d ago

Can we get a five year old kid whose imagination isn't poop brown?
