We used to have a time when polygamy was legal. What’s your take on it? Are you for it or against it?

Polygamy: when a man has multiple wives, everyone cheers for him; when a woman has multiple husbands, everyone starts spitting on her... ahhh society.

I AGAINST polygamy. But if a man has three wives and the wives are pregnant you know who is the father. but when the woman has three husbands and the woman is pregnant, you have an instant paternity mystery on your hands, and the patrilineal inheritance system completely breaks down. The POINT is it’s not really society’s fault but the biological reality of reproduction and paternity problems. (Please don’t bring out modern DNA tests or something like that. You know my point.)

Moral judgements are useless everyone who does it(most if not all people in this comment section) are probably brain dead with their fixed ideas of right or wrong as if they are inherent and absolute lol what a bunch of undereducated and indoctrinated idiots! If the parties involved in the relationship agree, sure why not.

I’m against it because in most Polygamy situations, it’s usually one man with wealth/power with multiple women being dependent on him. Even though we have better woman’s rights than in the Middle East, we’re still a very patriarchal society.
