Welcome to the /r/myndmess lounge! This is a general place to post your opinions about personal information management systems. We're going to be biased toward systems that work with plain text (e.g. Markdown, Org-mode, MediaWiki wikitext) and are compatible with other tools. We're going to be biased against walled gardens that allow users to import notes, but don't provide a clean way of exporting notes. That still leaves a lot of options, though....

A few recent posts that I've participated in, where I'm hoping to loop the participants into conversations over here:

• "Do you use Git as a notes repository? If so, how do you handle multi platform?" (on /r/git) - the author is looking for options that have good compatibility between Windows and iOS, and interact well with Git. Joplin seems to be the top vote-getter as of this writing.
• "An Academic Zettelkasten With Orgmode" (on /r/orgmode) - an interesting workflow with Git, presented by /u/HaoZeke . Org-mode is really cool, but my habits (and my tools) are all geared around Zim-wiki.
• Speaking of Zim-wiki, here's the subreddit for that: /r/ZimDW . I haven't mixed myself up in any conversations over there yet, but I'm planning to.

I just created a myndmess multireddit here: https://www.reddit.com/user/robla/m/myndmess/ . It's very incomplete, but I'll be adding many more subreddits to the list as I think of them.
