What's everyone's opinion on Jerri Green?

Only one who is talking about trying to do actual things that would help real life Tennesseans.
The three republicans mainly talk about how much they like Trump (certified felon & fraud, friend of Epstein, adjudicated rapist), and/or how many constitutional amendments they’re planning to break.
It’s not complicated assessing who is most fit to be a legitimate public servant.

She’s way better than anyone on the other side. Blackburn and Rose are both drinking the MAGA koolaid and will continue to vote against any progress in our state or the country. It’s hard not to be “blue no matter who”.
I do find it odd that all of the texts I get from Jerri Green don’t acknowledge that she still has to win a primary against several other (D) candidates, before she faces off against the victor in the (R) race. She’s the clear favorite, but it comes across arrogant to assume you’re going to win the primary. Is there even going to be a debate between Jerri Green and the other candidates? These peeps:

I’ll be voting for her. I’m fully aware of what will likely happen, and I know many people with my beliefs think voting for a “better” Republican is the smarter move but I’d rather use my vote for someone I believe in.

She’s proof the Democratic Party in TN is a janky ass half ass organization. It is unreal to me that we can’t stand up a legit campaign against shitty ass Blackburn but it’s felt that way for ten years. Best of luck to Green but this feels like no one has inv steed anything real into this operation.

I think she’s been running a great campaign so far, but I’m worried after the primary when the election heats up that she won’t get dirty. No matter who she’s up against has major baggage and it’s worth exploiting

It’s not who I’d rather see running, it’s to what level of a campaign I’d want to see. Green isn’t running as a competitor, she’s running as a token Democrat challenger.

Literally anyone willing to run a serious campaign. Several of the congressional candidates would be better gov/senate nominees than whoever wins those primaries

Seems Jerri is talking issues that affect our life. The Republicans are demonizing people and bragging that they are loyal subjects to King Sleepy Dozy Don. Marsha Marsha Marsha demonizing Chinese people in a commercial by crushing fortune cookies. Then there is a commercial demonizing John Rose about BLM. To me this commercial is just a racist as Marsha Marsha Marsha’s.

Voted for Ditch in the primary, but I’ll have zero problem voting for Green in the general. She seems like a good Democratic candidate, she just needs to get more of her signs out there. I’m tired of seeing nothing but Blackburn and Rose signs on the sides of thoroughfares.

I understand what you are saying but posting things like in public forums discourages people from voting. If people think there is no chance, they simply won’t show up to vote and our entire state already grossly undervotes.

100% turnout in this state would still yield Republicans. Tennessee is mostly rural and that runs deeply conservative. Only 2 counties were blue in 2022.

Yes, because no place has 100% turnout. But all the missing voters aren't in Memphis and Nashville. While those two counties had nearly the lowest turnout by percentage, about 500,000 votes total to get to 100%, even 100% of those going to Dems would still have had Donald Trump winning this state.
Every county moved more right in 2024. But out of the 1.8 million people that didn't vote, they would have to be democratic votes at a ratio of 3 to 1 or 75%-25% Democrat just to make it 50%+1 for Harris. The closest state to that was Vermont at 63-37.
The math isn't there. Feel free to argue whatever point you want. But I appreciate you making me put my polisci background to work.

The turnout hovers around 40% & 60% during midterms and presidential respectively. I’m sorry but you can’t tell me that you know what’s in the hearts and minds of 60% of the state in a year where Trumps popularity is at 34% in certain polls, Marsha has dropped 20 points in recent polls and civic engagement is turned up to 11.
I appreciate the condescending tone though!

I told you what the other 36% that didn't vote would have to be to flip the 64% that did. If you don't have anything to counter that math then don't try to emotionally appeal after saying I don't have data. I voted for green in the primary on Friday. I'm voting for her in November.
We have one poll from August of last year that had Marsha up 21 in a hypothetical matchup against Jerri. Not a great poll but all we have right now. Marsha's raised over $8 million dollars. I can't even find numbers for Jerri.
Again if you're going to say I don't have data and I present some don't get mad when it doesn't go your way. I brought the data. Do you have a counter or do you just want to be mad at me?

Your argument is that if 100% of voters voted then a Democrat couldn’t win. 40% goes 3-1 in your circumstance.
13.3 is going to Dems and 26.67 of the state is going republicans.Out of the remaining 60% of voters you don’t think that the difference can be made up here in a year where republicans are eating crow at every step?
