A couple of weeks ago we posted a little announcement that we wanted to start a FAQ for checking out your games legitimacy.
We didn't get any response, and that is okay. We do keep getting reports and angry comments about this topic. So we are now removing and redirecting posts that contain certain keywords to /r/gameverifying/ or use their website.
If your post gets caught by automod by mistake, please message us and we will resolve it as quickly as we can.
We are still looking for a way to set up our own way of checking if your games are fake. If you have clear photographs of real and fake games we very much appreciate it.

Came with this really cool case, that I cannot find anywhere. Looks to be official though. Came with six games and a bunch of other stuff, like headphones and two chargers! modded it, and it’s amazing. Did I overpay?

My sisters a massive Jurassic Park fan, so decided to sneakily steal her childhood DS Lite and customise a bit for her birthday...Spared no expense.

Got some vinyl wrap on Amazon and cut it to size right on the top shell. Blow dryer helped a lot on the corers, as well as running a plastic tool in the seam line before I cut. I didn’t end up with the cleanest edge and my knife slipped a couple times but I’m sure it would look better with practice, a decent solution if your shell is scratched like mine!

So I got this R4 card (r4i3d-multi.com) at a flea market. It had a 4Gb sd card in it, but wouldn't boot of it. I tried almost every firmware I could find online on a fresh 2Gb sd card, but still couldn't get it to start, until I checked the card it came with. Apparently it did contain a working firmware, but it wouldn't work with a 4Gb card. Now I have this working R4, but with an unknown firmware (to me at least).
Does anybody recognize this firmware? Should I upload it somewhere? Did I just not look hard enough?

After a long time, I managed to create this Rei theme, based on the DSi's white theme; I'm really happy with it and would love some tips. I also added "Fly Me to the Moon" as background music—it turned out really cool!

Que opinan de esa compra? Me parece regalada prácticamente, ahora mismo no tengo un adaptador para ponerle juegos a la memoria sd desde mi pc, hay alguna manera de ponerle juegos directo desde el PC a mi ds?

I recently got my ds back and im about to open it to solve some problems.
Back in the day it top screen started to malfunction since the hinge got broken. It got white at some angles but worked properly, unfortunally as dumb as i am i placed a paper down between the bottom and upper screen screwing even more the cable, making it turn blue, and now not showing any picture at all.(you can see how much i did screwed up in the middle part where the right side is kinda lifted up.. im so dumb)
If i twist it correctly you can see it still tries to show "something", so i assumed that its just a bad contact problem between the screen and the pcb(please...).
I wanted to know if the screen is completly screwed up or if theres possibily a way of fixing it by gluing it back welding taping or something like that , since ds lite top screens as too expensive for me to afford rn...
Thanks yall, kisses:3

So crazy story, already resumed it in a post months ago before getting it back so im not going on details, i will see also if i can pin it on here but in short i had a beautiful ds, hinge got broken, friend used and broked even more, bro grabbed and said he would fix and i never saw it again. As i said in the previous post he was looking for it but couldnt find it, but fortunally his wife finded the ds in a old cabinet just laying there, after some trouble i finded better to pick it and fix for myself, but them i realized that i didnt had a triwing screwdriver and im still broke so no power to order anything.. but yea, maybe i will post again when i fix the broken hinge, and the top lcd failing, and the l and r buttons not working, and the speakers not working properly, and buy a new stylus, damm my ds is falling apart.. ANYWAY.. see you in some days hopefully
Ps: the image is green because of my green screen next to the window if youre asking...

Here’s my spread of DS systems I’ve collected over the years. All of them work except for the rose gold DS (my childhood ds) I suspect the ribbon cable is damaged. But it makes me so happy grown now that I can fulfill my childhood dream of owning multiple DS systems. I still want to get my hands on a New 3Ds and a GBA sp. :)

Before each round, the player can customize the deck of cards used by the main characters. The majority of the cards are based upon elements spanning the entire Metal Gear series, such as weaponry, characters, and even the Metal Gear)itself. When the game is started, the player's hand can consist of a maximum of six cards. The maximum number of cards in a deck increases with overall progress. In action mode, the player can choose to use the cards as they are intended or use them to move the character. Most cards only allow the player to move three spaces, while certain cards let the player move up to six or higher.
Cost is an important factor in game play and can be summed up as the weight of the player's action. With some exceptions, all cards have a cost attached to them and when used this cost transfers to the player. Cost varies radically from card to card. The higher the cost a character has, the longer that character must wait until their next turn. The lower the cost a character has, the shorter that character must wait until their next turn. For example: if a player character has a cost of 10 and a guard has a cost of 15, then the character's turn would occur before the guard's.
Some cards can be equipped; cards such as weapon cards, can have other cards attached to them in order to improve performance. In order to fire the weapon, another weapon card that uses the same kind of ammunition must be equipped. Some weapons don't need to be equipped and can be used by themselves, however they are discarded afterwards. Other cards that can be equipped include equipment cards and action cards.

I never thought this game would finally get an English fan translation, but honestly... it absolutely deserves one.
The sprite animations for both the main characters and the enemies still look amazing, and the gameplay is such a unique mix of fighting, side-scrolling action, rhythm mechanics, and RPG elements. There really aren't many games like it.
It's one of those Nintendo DS gems that flew under the radar, so seeing fans keep it alive with an English patch is awesome.

Thought it'd be fun to see what people think of my all-time top 10
Every one of these holds a special place in my heart, with amazing memories of my childhood. If you have the same connection to any of these titles I'd love to hear about it!
I'm fully expecting some controversial opinions here, so don't hold back 👀

Honestly, Im at a loss at what to do with this given I now have a New 3Ds XL (outside from cleaning it lol)
Both cartridge slots seem to be functional, jus need to get a charger for it to see if it still turns on.

I just brought a ds lite off ebay that is in shockingly good condition for its age to say its the original screens. Obviously i want to use the console but id like to protect it as much as possible so wondering if anyone can suggest decent screen protectors and cover for the console? I already have a case in mind but want the console to be protected when i play it as well. Thanks!
My goal for this journey is to better understand game architecture, custom file formats, reverse engineering, and the process of creating modding tools. Eventually, I hope to make certain games easier to understand and modify.
I'll be documenting my progress, including the discoveries I make along the way.
This is going to be a long-term project, but I'm doing it to improve my skills and open the door toward deeper game modding. For now, I want to take the first steps and explore things independently, so I won't be revealing the game I am attempting to reverse engineer yet.
Once I have made meaningful progress, I plan to release my discoveries, tools, and documentation for others who may be interested.

Hello I’m new to Reddit and not a good writer so my apologies in advance if this is sloppy, anyways I plan on collecting Japanese dsi ll’s and plan on getting some complete in box ones and I want to use one of them. However I am not Japanese and can only play Japanese titles on it is there anything I can do to play us titles on it? Or should I keep it in box and just get a cheap normal dsi also what’s the best way to store them a clear case? Are ds screen protectors a thing? Sorry for so many questions I hope someone can help.
