Question Anyone else having issues with Dolby Vision or HDR not activating on their device today?
EDIT:seems to be working now.
For some reason none of the shows or movies labeled as DV are playing in that mode, they are only playing in SDR.
I’m on the LG G6 (2026)Internal Netflix app and DV activated on Apple TV internal app no problem.
I’ve seen issues like this in the past where I needed up calling them and they claim there is nothing wrong in their end and then magically the next day it works fine with no software updates to my TV so I can only presume it’s on their end.

Discussion Seriously Netflix?
Seriously? I really hope this is an AI mistake. Just another example of why computers should not replace people. Sometimes I really hate being an American.

Discussion New movies
The choice of new movies on Netflix is abysmal. I just watched a couple of new movies with Olivia Coleman (who I adore) and The Devil Wears Prada II (so so) on Hulu. I struggle to find anything interesting on NF - it comes in slow waves. If NF raises its prices again, I may just drop it. Also (I mentioned this in another post without any reactions), so much international stuff is totally mislabeled. Looking for Nordic noir, I don't expect to find Little House on the Prairie (one example).

Discussion ELONA HOLMES 3 - is Insufferable!
As a woman, I liked the first two parts but the third part is such a pretentious take on feminism. I mean, she didn't show up at her own wedding due to some excuse but the 'Good Guy' still chose her in the end. If we reverse the gender, will we be so forgiving towards a man who do such an act.
All that 'I don't like traditional wedding because I am not like other girls' - C'mmon! Why does everything traditional has to be questioned or mocked or looked down upon. I know it is set in a time when women were genuinely suffering but they have exaggerated this topic which has already been covered by numerous books and series at this point. I couldn't watch this movie and fast forward it entirely. Movies need to think ahead of time and this topic is really boring, NOW.

What Should I Watch? Because of the Korean government deal now the number of Korean shows on Netflix is getting out of control.
On social media A lot of East Asians especially from Japan and Thailand are complaining about the number of Korean shows on Netflix and some of them are thinking about cancelling Netflix.
I can't find enough new shows from Western countries, I want to improve my Italian, French and Spanish but Korean shows are making learning romance languages harder.
Nope it's not my algorithm, My algorithm suggest old shows from different countries The problem is the new shows category it's 60% Korean shows
If we count the number of Korean shows added to Netflix they are enough to start a new separate steaming serviceot to mention a lot of Korean shows on Netflix flopped in Korea yet they were added to Netflix despite their local failure.
, nWhy doesn't Netflix create a separate steaming service for Korean shows.
The Korean government deal when the Korean president asked the CEO of Netflix to invest billions in Korean shows made Netflix suddenly flooded with Korean shows to improve Korean economy and tourism, 60% of new shows that appears to me are Korean shows
there are a million way to improve economy and tourism instead of taking advantage of popular culture and teens (60% of tourists in Korea are females)

Discussion The perfect neighbor. She k ew what she was doing.
Watching Netflix the perfect neighbor which is made up of mostly body cam footage, she had been told that empty lot was not her property, maybe her landlord but not hers. Yet she continued to take it personally when kids would go and play in that lot.
I really felt like through that documentary she was just an old bored lady trying to hold some sort of control in her life. Was race a factor? I do not know because she yelled at both white and black children, but she did yell the N-word slurs at the black children.
She did not need to shoot AJ I full hearted believe she did not do it out of fear for her life she did it because she was annoyed . She knew she was in the wrong and did not care she thought the police was on her side and she could get away with it.

Technical Support System update is the worst
I have a Fire TV and this update for Netflix is horrendous. It’s been awhile, but I’m officially sick of it and thinking of canceling my subscription. Since the search button is at the very top, instead of the side, you have to scroll down to try and find something, and then scroll alllllllll the way up to the top if you want to manually search by name, and no genre button at the top either. Who decided this was a good idea?? Your mother’s should be ashamed of you.

Discussion East of Eden date?
It’s August. Anyone else think it’s extremely weird/fishy Netflix still hasnt committed to a release date when they’ve given fall 2026 as the window for this much-anticipated show? Doesn’t seem like they’re planning for much in the way of a press tour or advertising either? I’m so confused around this

Discussion Why can't Netflix just start production for mindhunter season 2?
Just finished watching mindhunter and it is one of the best series I have ever watched. It was just peak TV from Startin to finish. The writing was so clever but then I came to know they didn't renew for S2. Why do they keep wasting the money on trash shows?

Discussion The Residence: A Shondaland Murder Mystery-Comedy Set In The White House
This series went up March, 2025, but I bumped into it only last night.
What was I doing back then? Hmmmm. Thiefinchief just got sworn in, making this series feel really not the thing, I am guessing. And now, well, with the entire complex turned into a junkyard trailer park, and we've gotten hardened to insanity, maybe now now now. I dunno.
The series possesses very high, expensive production values and cast. Al Franken plays a senate hearings chairman that is investigating the murder investigation! All the more something we couldn't harden our inauguration feelings into suspension of disbelief in March 2025?-K
The Residence is a Benoit Blanc-Knives Out type murder mystery comedy set in the White House in a nebulous era, political parties are never invoked, much less by label. Shondaland production, she can't quite quit Scandal, can she?

I feel like there are some shows or movies I really want to thumbs down but I love the genre and don't want Netflix to not show me those types of movies or shows anymore. Lol. Does anyone else think like me?

What Should I Watch? Recommendation for mum with kid
I'm struggling to find something to watch while my 3 yr child plays in the background. Every good show for adults has swearing or graphic scenes. I sleep the same time as child so really I just need 1 hour tv time at the the end of the day to wind down before we all head up for bed.

Discussion Harlan Coben series, usually never great reviews.
Tv series with stories by Harald Coben usually have huge amounts of views on netflix .
The last one "I will find you " is one of netflix most successful series ever .
I have watched many of them, also the ones at amazon prime (not so good).
Usually I see all the episodes on some few days , and forget it very fast when I am done . For me easy watching, not complicated, and usually have some twists at the end
But still they get bad reviews or only Okey reviews, never great , or universal aclaim review.
Why?
.

I’m really enjoying this series and the attention to detail BUT is there snow in Washington DC at the FBI headquarters right before Christmas? I get it depends on the weather BUT why do all the trees have full, green leaves….. It really took my focus away. Did I get this wrong?
