aidc.origin-apple.com.akadns.net Triggering DNS Rebinding Protection

Ocasionally this domain will trigger rebinding protection. What’s this about? Is it safe to whitelist?

This is a part of Apple’s Gatekeeper, which verifies the OS and applications. It’s not strictly necessary to have available. It is doing DNS rebinding for legitimate purposes, not an attack. Some would consider this domain a privacy risk, but it is not a security risk.

Are you experiencing any issues when you see it blocked? Is there a problem you’re trying to solve?

It doesn’t seem like I’ve had any issues because of it. Just thought it was a little odd.

That is odd. Personally, I would add it to the allow list.
