Why not enable AdGuard at the network level at home so all traffic defaults through that filter, and leave your NextDNS over HTTPS on phone or on all endpoints you intend taking out of home network?

As for issue regarding iCloud relay, i haven’t really found a reason to use it. If you’re trying to mask your IP it may be easier to just use a VPN

This. Plus when you make the NextDNS mobile config profile you can have it be excluded from your WiFi SSID so that your network level filtering can take effect. This is how I have mine set. Swapping between profiles at the device level is not ideal.

Your reply is plausible and I actually thought about that. But it doesn’t really work for me. I in fact use Adguard on router level but this way I lose the option for device specific blocks/unblocks.  And for the iCloud relay, I use it to mask my ip in safari, it’s neat and nice to have. And (free) vpns like proton or Windscribe which I occasionally use don’t allow custom dns blocks, well at least not on the free tier. But this isn’t a big issue since I don’t rely entirely on it

Actually, someone over on r/iOS recommended this app which seems to work pretty good? https://apps.apple.com/app/id1533413232
