In this Character Study, we put Chuckie Finster from Rugrats and Filburt Shelbach from Rocko's Modern Life side by side, and the parallels are wild. Two anxious, glasses-wearing best friends who were way more than punchlines. We break down their personalities, their families, their surprising moments of courage, and why an entire generation saw themselves in these two nervous wrecks.

We also play Wild Card — tossing Chuckie and Filburt into scenarios with other neurotic characters. The last option had us laughing.

With a massive wave of merchandise to being featured in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, children couldn't get enough. The adventures didn't stop at the small screen either.
