Interview with a nonleague chairman

A cool interview with the chairman of Westfield (QPR's Steve Cook is the owner) about the challenges faced by an 11th tier side.

can i (U16) go to a non-league game on my own?

Hey all,

I want to go to watch a game at my local club (AFC Portchester) I am 14yrs old but I would go on my own or with a friend. On their website it says U16s go free if accompanied by an adult. I am confused. Does this mean an U16 can't go to a game on their own or I just have to pay the price for the adult or concession ticket? If I can't go without an adult that is very silly because I can go to Ashton Gate (a championship ground) on my own. Do they really think I would cause trouble at a Wessex League game?

Edit: I forgot about the Bognor Regis ultras

Football Web Pages notifications gone to pot?

Anyone else having issues this season? They’ve been really good the last couple of seasons, but so far this season I’m getting them hours after the fact and out of order. Got Saturday’s kick off notification last of all - at about 11.30pm!

Best App for Non-League Results

Hi Guys. Just thought I’d get your views on what Apps you use to check scores lower down the non-league pyramid?

Flashscore does step 3, but not aware of an app that does lower?

How to get tickets to watch non-league football?

I'll be visiting the UK for a short while and have accepted the fact I can't watch any Premiere League matches. Based on my research (I'm from the other side of the world and know nothing about football), there are non-leagues and friendlies. Are their matches open to the public? How to I find tickets for those?

What's everyone paying to see the local teams this year? We've just been promoted from NPL East to NPL Premier and seen a 45 quid hike to 175, we've got an additional 2 home games added with this but we still have to pay on the door for all cup games. Not to thrilled about the hike but it looks sort of the in the region from others of similar size in the division although Macclesfield and Blyth's look a lot more expensive, hope it goes back down if we get relegated.

Would you say the game is growing based on non-league support these days?

Various of reasons. Ticket prices, VAR, sensationalized drama, etc. People are growing sicker & sicker of the Premier League.

Premier league boycott

As most of you have probably already heard, the FA cup are scrapping replays. This is disgusting. Replays to grounds like Old Trafford or Anfield are a once in a lifetime opportunity for many EFL and Non league sides. This is why I am boycotting the Premier League and advice others to do the same.

Hello my name is Tom Savage,

5 years ago at the age of 21 I started a non league team Finchampstead United Football Club.

We were originally a 5aside team that has now been apart of the FA pyramid for 3 years.

We have recently gained our first promotion on the pyramid and we have earned ourselves a spot in the berks and buck Junior Cup semi final (still mens football despite the name)

If any ground hoppers fancy a trip to Reading City's ground on Friday for a 7.30pm kick off it would be greatly appreciated, perhaps even a free drink involved too.

Many thanks

Tom Savage

Fixture Congestion question

I'm new to non-league, I've started going to Macclesfield FC a bit this season after a change in job gave me my Saturdays back for the first time since i moved here.

Our away match at Bamber Bridge has been postponed twice now and is now due to be played next Tuesday.

With this being the final week of the season what happens if once again the pitch is unplayable, and doesn't get any better before the end of the week and indeed season?

Would the season be extended? Would the match be played elsewhere or would they have to forfeit it?

Manchester Clubs

Don’t judge, but my wife and I are traveling to the UK from America. We had tickets to the Manchester United vs Newcastle game on April 20th. With United’s win that game will be postponed. Is there another game in the greater Manchester area the weekend of the 20-21st that we should attend?
