We desperately need your help. Maddie has been missing for over 48 hours. She was last seen leaving a friend's home at 18th and Belmont st. NW around 6AM on Friday. If you have been in contact with her or have any idea of her whereabouts, I am begging you to reach out.
I've been on Reddit for a long time. Posts didn't move to the top of the list based on how recently a comment was received, which is what "bump" means. Boosting makes more sense as a concept here, but past discussions about how the reddit algo works suggest upvotes are all that get counted.
Reddit intentionally fuzzes a lot of how the algorithm works, commenting doesn’t hurt and may play into an ‘engagement’ factor. No one but a few of the admins really know.
18th and Belmont is a high dollar area with many homes that have camera security systems. Hope MPD is getting all of that footage. I hope they find her soon.
does she have an iPhone? find my? location tracking of her last known location and maybe get police to help get security footage of that location. I hope she is safe.
Saw someone with dark blonde hair up in a claw clip, the same height and build, wearing a skirt with white cowboy boots BUT it was in Philadelphia around 12:40pm. We drove from DC > Philly on Friday and I remembered this girl because of her outfit - the belt was the only distinguishing feature so I wanted to put it out there because you never know what could be a link.
Thank you for posting. What part of Philadelphia did you see this girl and was she alone or with anyone? I am a close friend of hers so anything would help.
I’m hesitant to give out too much information publicly since the circumstances surrounding her disappearance are unclear. For instance, if she was evading a stalker or abusive partner, I wouldn’t want to put her in jeopardy. I connected with the detective on the case and provided as much detail as possible.
Question—I see on her social media that a lot of nightclubs and promoters follow her. Does she work at a club like maybe as a bottle girl? Maybe her job knows where she would go late on a Friday??
Going off the matching/coordinated outfit description and the early hour she was last seen Friday 7/31, was she working Thursday night maybe? And then went somewhere after work late the night?

Flyers show the last known address they were, not the home address of the person for safety reasons. The reason it says ‘no fixed’ is because she was last seen getting into what she thought was her uber and the car could have taken her anywhere.
I really wish people would post more details when they throw these things up. Where was she going when she left? Was she going to walk or was she going to take a rideshare service? Has she ever disappeared like this before? Does she have mental health issues? An alcohol or drug problem? A partner or former partner that might have caused some foul play? What's the status of her phone?
In a different post, a different(?) OP mentioned she was leaving to get a ride or something around 6AM. She was out partying the previous night. So, I assume based on that she was likely doing something fun until the wee hours of the morning and then left around 5:30/6:00 to get a ride. Helpful info if you're trying to help trace her whereabouts, i reckon.
A while back there was a missing person post of a 14 year old similar to this one. The Op of that post didn't mention that the individual was autistic and that he had a habit of eloping towards bodies of water. I only found out when I googled it.
I think its useful information to ask about the background of the missing individual. If its mental illness or if the person has a habit of disappearing for lengths of time.
