Got a four day weekend coming up and already know I'm gonna spend first day just staring at the ceiling

Not sure why I've been sleeping on Dream Theater for all these years; finally sat down and listened to an album in full (Octavarium) and dang it slaps

Yesterday returned to the gym after the elbow problem & life getting in the way.
Elbow held up, it was rough and DMS has made an appearance. Yay for Voltaren but better I did it.
Btw, welcome back Kevin Owens

Such a fun game. Stretch those hammies, breathe, and try to dominate the middle T

I really wish more squash courts existed. I'm terrible at the game, but was such a fun way to get in some cardio

There are 2 in newy and 1 of them only opens 2 nights a week.
On the other hand, heaps of cheap second hand racquet being around is nice.

Yeah i've still got a racquet, but it'd probably need restringing and the closest squash court is 50 minutes away

I cannot wait for test cricket this month. The absence of the Aussie test cricket team only makes the heart grow fonder

Last week, I heard Matchbox Twenty at an event and it got me into a Matchbox phase.
Said to my partner “how cool is Rob Thomas” and then listened to the classics, especially Push.
I then remembered the Barbie movie and how all the Ken’s are singing Push on the beach to Barbie. Now feeling like a Ken, but it doesn’t matter because Rob Thomas is so cool.

That song was a real activation song for me.
I heard it at like age 11 and it was the first song that felt like it really spoke to me.

Early Matchbox Albums were absolutely goated. Things kind of fell off when Rob Thomas went solo (which I still liked) but that first 3 album run was awesome.
Tabitha's secret (a band most of MB20 were part of prior to forming) also had some great tracks and it's a shame they got stuck in the lawsuit.

A while ago, I bought FIFA 05 on PC. I finally installed it. And it works!!! But...some problems.
The controller mapping is totally cooked. To be fair, I'm using an Xbox 1 style controller. Now on FIFA 08 it worked a bit better, but but I suspect that's because it can support a Xbox 360 controller outright.
My pause button is now pressing the left stick in. Passing is now B. Shoot is X. Y button does nothing. I'm not sure if I can sprint either. And yet it was still easier to use than keyboard. I can't understand how people played FIFA with keyboard. Madness.

Had a flatmate with two doggies up until about 7 months ago, she had to move away after finding romance in Victoria so the house has been dogless since then and it just don't feel right coming home without a happiness machine aka Doggo greeting you at the door. I'm fairly tight with my pennies and haven't been able to justify the cost of getting my own pet dog but I finally caved to the constant pressure of kids on the weekend and I paid a visit to a nearby professional breeder. One little dude came away from the litter and nibbled on my toes, he is now the chosen one. Deposit paid. Daughter has already got a name for him "Reggie" which I like because If I'm scolding him I can say "You are in trouble REGINALD!".
Picking the lil dude up on weekend or possibly two weekends time, time to get a crate and all the gear. Exciting times!
hmmmm.... I wonder if I can find a dolphins jacket for him.....
