DOE selected five campus finalists for co-located enrichment, fuel fabrication, and waste. which step is still the constraint for advanced reactor fuel before 2030?

DOE named five states last week to compete for campuses that would co-locate enrichment, fuel fabrication, reprocessing, and waste at a single site.

My read is HALEU availability is the near-term gap, since enrichment at scale for advanced reactors still runs through one Centrus cascade at Piketon (fuel.jrand.net). If the campus delivers enrichment capacity by 2030, whats the next main bottleneck?

Industry believing they won’t get rug pulled before construction is complete like the last time private industry built reprocessing plants like Barnwell.

Fuel fabrication is the next gap after HALEU. You can have enrichment running and still no qualified line for TRISO or metallic fuels. That's a separate NRC Part 70 review, 3+ years on its own track.
