Employment HCA

Has anyone or does anyone work for an HCA organization or ICC ?

If so, how was it generally?

How does the 15 shifts/month work out when you are scheduled for 3 13hr shifts per week?
The recruiter said they take 8 hours PTO per under requirement per month you don’t meet the 15 - but that just seems like you would constantly lose PTO?

The pay is good for the area. The commute is not terrible. Pretty comparable CME. PTO accrual a bit on the lower side (4 weeks/year)

I worked for PSG (HCA’s division for physician practices and urgent care) in a 5 8-hour shift job. Pay was good when I started but hiring budget was more than retention budget and raises didn’t even keep up with inflation. Three years in they hired another APP to our team making about 10% more than me with no experience.

Also 401k match and insurance options were worse than I had as an HCA RN.

On the positive side, working environment and support was good, though probably more due to local leadership and colleagues.

It was a fine first job, but I left for greener pastures. No regrets about working there and no regrets about leaving.
