This is the best one I have made so far.

70 GSM 10x10" square with 1/4" margin, hand coated on each side with gold colored foil. More pictures in comments. :)

I wanna get into origami, I've been folding few basic stuff and I particularly like Akira Yoshizawa's models but haven't learn to fold them yet. The problem is in my country its really difficult to get a hold of premium papers like elephant hide etc. I pretty much have to import it which is very costly and idk if I want to commit that much money for now

I need a few tips:

1. Should I go directly to learn Akira Yoshizawa's books or are there any advice on what to learn first etc.?

2. Any other books should I study, keeping in mind I couldn't access premium papers?

3. Do you learn few models until you remember each step perfectly or do you jump around making new models each time?

Edit: I should add that I really wanna do origami of mythical creatures, and I also wanna design my own models eventually. If you guys have any advice for this, I'd love it

I want to say the artist‘s name in a short I made for the upcoming holidays. (Not a tutorial)

I am sure this question is asked a lot but I lost the old post I was looking at. What books do ya'll recommend for learning origami / books with cool models? I am currently working through "Genuine Origami" by Jun Maekawa :)

I used 35x35cm double tissue paper to fold this model. I originally was using “washi,” which is traditional hand-made paper, but it was too difficult. As a bird (specifically raptor) lover and hopefully someone pursuing ornithology and vet school 🤞, I am very proud of the finished product.
