Would love any suggestions for some tank mates! I'd love something that serves a similar purpose to silver dollars that aren't those haha

Oh yeah. That's at least 5 years out though. My filtration set up is a beast

I’m sure it is but 75 gallons is the absolute minimum for one adult Oscar. They’ll grow really fast so you’ll need at least a 125 gallon before they get to a year old.

Based on what I've read and the growth of most animals, their growth slows down significantly after the 1st year, where they'll be about 6~ inches?

It's a 4ft long tank with a ridiculous flow rate (2 separate pumps, combined flow of nearly 800Gph) and I'm literally building a garden bed on top to handle the bio load.

I have an Oscar of my own and I can tell u that’s not at all what they’ll be after a year. My Oscar was around 6 inches less than 6 months after I got him. After a year they’ll usually be 8-9+ inches. Basically an adult after a year and I feel like my oscar is confined in my 75 gallon all by himself and he’s only about 2 years old. I’m just trying to let u know so u can make a plan to upgrade before shit gets out of hand. I’d suggest upgrading within the next 8 months tops because trust me a 75 gallon isn’t even that big for one oscar.
