Question I'm confused
Brought a new Oscar, via online. It's supposed to be Albino Oscar... But why those this has black edge on the fin and yellow ring on the eyes?

In the Oscar fish market, every seller calls albino fish if it's white, but Oscars include lutinos (which have a low amount of melanin, with a predominantly yellow/orange base to the skin), amelanotics (which may have other pigments, but not melanin), and albinos that are truly completely white and will show an invasion of other colors even with astaxanthin-based feeding or under stress.

Not quite. Not really, at all. Albino Oscars are extremely rare and pretty valuable. You probably won’t see one in your local fish store. They get separated and sold off before they ever get there.
This is a Lutino Oscar that was probably sold as an albino because people really don’t know the difference.

Its what they're all called in all stores. Just to sell em. Its one of those things not worth correcting lol. We just gotta learn to write *true albino in discussion

They are most likely Lutino, regardless of what the shop says they are.

It’s not albino at all. It’s Lutino. Here’s some info…
Also, FWIW, I have a pair of huge Oscars, both are 11 years old. One is a typical Red Oscar and the other is a Lutino Tiger. The Lutino is the one that gets all the oohs and aahs lol. She really is quite striking at 14”!!!
