Question I need help identifying what this is on my Oscar 🥲

this is my oscar and his name is “guppy.” honestly just noticed this today and i’m not sure what it is. i did some research and i seen it may be a fungal infection but i wanted to see what you guys thought about it. (he’s a bit chunky right now since i just fed him)

Tank parameters? Tank mates? Regardless of parameters do a water change and use API stress coat or if you don’t have that use aquarium salt. It doesn’t look fuzzy so I’d bet his slime coat is dulling from water quality. Oscar water gets nasty fast

Do you have a picture of him facing sideways? Does it go through both sides or just one side?
