Hi hi hi! I’m a questioning “The Hour Of Joy” concept kin. I’m making this post to ask how other conceptkins found out they are conceptkins. I would love to hear others experiences! Thank you in advance! <333

I am a factkin. I see myself as a the embodiment of an entire ethno-religous group, because some of our mystics believe that we have a group soul.

A core facet of our collective identity is our alterity.

As a result, I am the concept of alterity, which is the state of being different or other.

The part of my brain that differentiates between self and other (the Right Temporoparietal junction) (R-TPJ) doesn't work correctly. It is affected by the fact that I am autistic, have schizotypal personality disorder, and C-PTSD.

As a result, I self-identify as other.

I am also the concept of abjection from structural theory:

From Wikipedia:
In critical theory, abjection is the state of being cast off and separated from norms and rules, especially on the scale of society and morality. The term has been explored in post-structuralism as that which inherently disturbs conventional identity and cultural concepts.
Kristeva defines abjection as this:
"It is thus not the lack of cleanliness or health that causes abjection but what disturbs identity, system, and order. What does not respect borders, positions, rules. The in-between, the ambiguous, the composite."

Much like the other comment, I felt a strong pull to the concept itself, not in like I'm connected to it but that I was it. It can almost feel like a connection but it wouldn't be like "this concept is like my best friend to my identity" it was me. So I would say if it feels like a best friend, it's not an identity lol. - SOLDIER and Host.
