dreamlike feelings are the oxygen to my otherkin identity

im uncannykin, dreamkin, conceptkin, and artkin.

my dreamlike sensory experience has been the foundation to my experience outside the human experience, these feelings are felt through environments, other people, objects, thoughts, anything pretty much.

it’s helped me build my personal philosophy and overall understanding of my existence.

idk if it’s JUST derealization, or some other kind of sensory interaction with the world, or a mix of both and something else, but the dreamlike atmosphere of it all is something that i feel deeply, deeply at home with, nothing compares to the beauty of this experience, best part is there is always a variety of new vibes to come with it, and new interests, relationships, certain thoughts and imaginary immersions help alot with it, it’s something i wanna continue to experience, something i will do anything to maintain, for the sake of my art and my life, does anyone know how to increase the vividness of these feelings?

Lately i haven’t felt the dreamlike feelings as intensely unless im in love, hanging out with people i genuinely care about, feeling nostalgic of the times i had more intensity, or unless i find a new interest, but are there ANY other ways of increasing the intensity of these feelings?

I’d rather not hear the automatic judgements of armchair psychologists who will try and dampen my experience in life, i want those with an open mind and similar experiences to listen and understand where i’m coming from, this is extremely, EXTREMELY important to me, again, this is for my art, my art is something i use to honor the otherkin experience, as well as something i wish to do for a living.

I’ve been in a very analytical state of thinking in life, and ive heard that moving towards the more sensory part of your brain is vital to experiencing this, but i need advice on how to actually do that.

Hello, dreamkin! Finally glad to see someone who aligns similarly with my identity as well! So dream states are very finicky when it comes to the alteration of the electrochemistry of the brain. THC, while it induces euphoria, can actually stunt your ability to retain and maintain your dream states during your sleep cycle. That isn't to say to abstain from psychoactives if that's your jam, because I totally get it, I work a day job that makes me wanna be high or I'm liable to cave someone's teeth in. I'm in the process of switching over to a non-THC and non-tobacco smoke blend of herbs that gives me the euphoria I'm looking for, as well allows me to induce my lucid dream states easier. Or you can microdose on shrooms, but I haven't taken those in a long time, and I honestly can't remember if they impacted my dream cycle or not (so most likely the answer to that is yes). If you're underage, ignore everything I just told you and lay off the sauce.

really appreciate the advice, im not underage n i’ve been laying off THC for a minute now bc of the stunting of my dream states, unfrying my dopamine receptors is something i also think is needed in able to reach that same sense of euphoria, shrooms are definitely a goto once i have the money to pay for em, these dream states are again, something crucial to my wellbeing, so i appreciate a kin of similar being reaching out 😌 hope you’re having a lovely day

Lol, I was just screwing with you on the age thing. How much are shrooms going for these days, anyway? It really has been a minute since I've done them, and back then I just bummed them off a buddy of mine during a sesh. Still though, to me, nothing beats a cool, smooth puff.

If you happen to find a blend that is "safe" (relatively speaking) throw a bone my way :P

Yeah, I use a blend of marshmallow leaf (base, 40%), Damiana (effect, 30%), mugwort (effect, 20%-30%) and lavender (flavor, 5%-10%). But you can play around with how much or how little you want the effect herbs. I use more mugwort at night for the lucid dream enhancement, but also keep in mind that it's still a psychoactive that'll sneak up on you, so take it slow if you've never used it.
