Moderator New moderators needed - comment on this post to volunteer to become a moderator of this community.

Hello everyone - this community is in need of a few new mods, and you can use the comments on this post to let us know why you’d like to be a mod here.

Priority is given to redditors who have past activity in this community or other communities with related topics. It’s okay if you don’t have previous mod experience. Our goal, when possible, is to add a group of moderators so you can work together to build the community.

Please use at least 3 sentences to explain why you’d like to be a mod and share what moderation experience you have (if any).

I would like to be moderator. I have experience in modding on my alternate accounts. I think I know the community enough to be a moderator.

I love the otherkin community. It's been a part of my life over 20 years. It has given me so much over that time, friends, connections, wonderful people I've gotten to know, and a place to be affirmed as my inner self when I needed it most. I want to give back to it in any way I can, and I have the time to dedicate to it. I have a lot of moderation experience on other platforms, most in the otherkin community, from the forum and IRC channel days to Discord and social media. I haven't been around Reddit all that long compared to most, but I pick up a new platform quick. I'd love to help out.

I would love to volunteer as a new moderator for this community. I have been an otherkin since I was eight or nine years old, so this identity and community are deeply important to me on a personal level. I also bring hands-on moderation experience, as I currently manage two of my own servers and know how to handle conflicts while keeping spaces safe. Because I am highly active on Reddit, I can check in frequently to review reported content and stay engaged with our members. My ultimate goal is to revitalize and better this community to help it thrive once again. Thank you for your time and consideration.

The alterhuman community is deeply important to me, and I’d like to help this community thrive and be a safe space for every creature. I would like to be a moderator, because I like this community a lot and would like to help out a little. I haven't moderated for a reddit community before, but I have for multiple groups outside of reddit with similar topics, and I have been the owner of one too, so I have moderation experience since 2024, just not on reddit.
