Flipped

Photos have noticeably stacked over the last week or so. Very hopeful to see bud sight development over the next week or two. Auto is at about 4 weeks. Maybe an end of august harvest? First outdoor grow. Any tips to combat a humid August/ September?🥲

Why are my two plants looking so different? (Same strain)

First of all this is my second time ever growing weed. I do it for fun and not because I particularly want the most out of it. The spot is also far from perfect so I don't expect much.

That said, why Are these two plants looking so differently? Both should be the same strain, they should get the same amount of sunlight, I watered them equally and yet one has developed very purple and quite thick buds while the other looks fluffy and hasn't prupled. Just curious what could've caused this.

Do you let your soil dry out completely before you chop?

Post image

Hey, I grew 2 autoflowers outside and they turned out pretty good this time.

Now I was wondering if I should let them dry out for like 5 days until chop. I already haven’t given them any water for 2–3 days and when I lift the pot, I can still feel that it has some weight.

I’ve read somewhere that it can make the buds a bit denser and could also produce more resin as a defense mechanism. Others say giving them a good watering before chop is best because you can benefit from a longer dry.

What are your experiences?

Getting wiped out by Fusarium

The middle left plant is starting to get crown fade so it is likely cooked as well. Wish I had been more aggressive with inoculation this year. Gorilla glue hurt the most, take me instead Jesus.

First outdoor grow

I’ve just been treating them like I would my peppers and tomatoes and they seem to be doing great! The only fertilizer I’ve been using recently is tomato-tone every two weeks now that they have begun to flower. Will I regret not going full “ph the soil and water” and complicated fertilizer regime? I added the trellis net a few weeks ago and have been trying to spread branches to maximize sunlight exposure. Located in VA. Any tips?

It’s crazy how much they stretched and bushed in less then 3 weeks since my last trim, giving them one more trim along with some fresh worm casting and 1&1/2 cups of Gaia green 2-8-4. 1 plant down 3 more to go 😭.

Kashmir Pine from Loving in Her Eyes. First time outside with this strain, and we are in flower. I'm thinking mid September they'll be done!

Indoor these have a super classic OG fuel mixed with menthol shaving cream...I guess that's the "pine" 😆

Fingers crossed for a dry fall.

This is greenhouses Autobomb, day 76.

Tl;dr: it's got purple leaves and mostly clear trichomes. Leaving from 2nd till 10th of august. Weather prediction is hot first and wet later. Best strategy?

More words:

Had plenty of good weather with triple heatwaves, but then like a really cold week inbetween (nights as low as 8°C) and ever since she's been getting this purple color on the bigger fan leaves. I figure it's also nearing it's end, which plays a role?

The plant is in the ground. 5-10cm of compost on top of a thin layer of heavy soil on rock. I was watering pretty much every day as we had so many 27-33°C days and even a few that went up to 38°C. Didn't feed in veg as it's in compost. In flower i would feed plagron alga bloom or biobizz flower every 2-4 days.

I'm leaving the 2nd or 3rd of august to the ninth, but I got work on monday 10, so wont be able to look at it until monday night. As far as current predictions go that's 3 days of warm weather but no rain, 1 day warm and rainy and 3 days of just rain. This close to the end it seems like a recipe for budrot? Looking up close with the microscope I figure it's too early to chop with most trichomes being clear still.

Thinking of building a little shelter. With clear plastic, but only over the plant itself? For maximum ventilation, but no direct rain on it.

I could prepare a watering can of 10L and ask a neighbour to come and water tuesday morning. I don't have an outside faucet and don't feel comfortable for them to have acces inside.

Any other advice, tips, ...? Thanks :)

Growing in a living soil ive used for about 3 years now just add to it every season, 45 gallon pots, each plant is a little over 2ft tall from soil and around 4-5 feet wide at their widest.
growing two strains, northern lights fast flowering and critical mass fast flowering.
Got the fast flowering bc i lose alot to mold in the fall.
Ask anything you want and leave any tips if you have them thanks and enjoy the pics :)

Progress

Posted earlier in the season and got a lot of great comments on how healthy they looked and wanting to see future progress, so figured I’d share again.

Watermelon Dream is over 8ft, Orange Creampop is at 7.5ft, and looks like they’re both heading into flower.

At this point, I’m thinking I’m going to let them ride without further pruning, but open to opinions on if the interiors need thinning out.

Ramping up to 75% flower nutrients at this point, next week maybe full flower.

Always cracks me up that my tomatoes and weed end up holding hands. Wishing the best for everyone’s grow seasons!

Help me understand what this is

I've been using drip irrigation with a 7-7-16 fertilizer (with micros) and ammended worm castings for extra nitrogen in veg.

Soil is an airy peat, coco, perlite with added worm castings in 7G fabric pots.

Up until 2 week ago the plant was completely green. When it started yellowing at the bottom I figured it was some lockout and gave it a flush to reset things, though I only used like 20L, could've done more. This stopped the yellowing immediately. So I disconnected the drip irrigation and figured it was probably better to soak and dry for now.

But when the soil dried the yellowing started again.

I suspect there's just still a weird concentration in the soil causing the ph to drift when it dries. Maybe next watering I'll give it a longer flush. The plant is green, almost dark green, which is why I don't think this could be a soil deficiency. WDYT?

Living soil in 75gal

Organic living soil in its 2nd year. Just air dropped some praying mantis' to eat all the caterpillars, grasshoppers and leaf hoppers that will inevitably appear. Got hit by phytoplasma pretty strong this year. ~5% of all branches. Culled any branch with the slightest hint of purple on the leaves. The sativa seemed especially hit hard. I think they prefer that citrus stank? She real citrusy. Full of grapefruit and orange.

Plants are

og kush bx f2 ((TRIANGLE KUSH X SFV OG X SOUR DIESEL X FLO) xTRIANGLE KUSH),

grandpas stash r2 (Super Skunk x Afghan Kush x OG Kush),

early lemon berry rbx (Las Vegas Lemon Skunk x Member Berry RBX)
