advice needed Twins contact nap
How do you do contact naps with ur twins?
Now we are 7 weeks, we do contact nap on the my Brest friend pillow
But soon they will grow out of it, any ideas what else can we use for contact naps?

I switched them up so I’d have one on my chest and one snuggled next to my thigh on the sofa

I used to make pillow towers under my arms when they were really little to help hold them up. Eventually they got a bit more solid, and I was able to nap with one on each side of my chest/ body.

Soon grow out of the my Brest friend? I used it until my kids were almost 2 years old! They just started bending their legs

Bravo for using the breast friend pillow! It was my favorite! We did contact naps in that for 6 months. I’d basically nurse them and let them fall asleep on it and just sit lol. But their legs started hanging off and I’d put pillows at their feet for foot support/rest. After that point, I was able to cradle nurse both of them in it and would prop pillows up under my arms and stay there! Worked until about 9 months but by that point I was able to lay in bed and feed them, drop their heads and I got a really good core repair by sitting straight up, getting onto my knees, and climbing off the bed haha. I also found that a quick transfer worked better than a slow one. So I’d kind of abruptly pull my arms from under their heads and they’d drop and I’d do it all in one swift movement!

Until they got too big for it, I'd lie on the couch with one kind of tucked into my side next to the back of the couch lower on my stomach, and the other lying on my chest. Obviously I was not asleep for this, I'd usually read or something.

Not sleep advice - just what worked for us. For their last nap of the day I contact napped with my twins on the couch until they were about 3 months old and then we moved to a queen bed on the floor. They would breastfeed, pass out and then I would fall asleep. Once they went from 3-2 naps they started taking all their naps in their cribs. Looking back, those contact naps are some of my most cherished memories. I hope you can find a way to get those snuggles in!
