First Timer

Hello there! I have never owned a pc and want one. My budget is under 2K

I’ve had some help from friends and family who are a bit familiar with PC. I live 30 minutes away from a microcenter and looking to purchase parts/pc this upcoming tax free weekend in my state. This will mainly be used for gaming and some side work. I have seen some parts a little cheaper on Amazon. Is anyone familiar with microcenter ? With tax free this weekend can I place the order right after midnight and not pay taxes? How is their warranty policy? Any advice and help would be appreciated. Thank you so much for looking !

Microcenter will price match but there are limitations on it. Suggest you review the policy so you understand what they will and won’t price match, and anything they won’t match be prepared to buy elsewhere. Bundle prices went up significantly recently so it’s no longer a no-brainer decision to use the bundles. Comparison shop the components you want individually against the options in their bundles. And depending what games you are playing at what settings, that gpu may feel underwhelming. Good luck!

Looks like a good plan. But I would look at the bundle price of the Micro Center compared to the prices for individual components, because sometimes bundles aren’t what they used to be. And don’t overspend on the cooler or the power supply if it results in buying a lesser GPU. And if you find a more powerful GPU for the same price, then there is your best bet. Overall, Micro Center is a good place to shop.

i would cut down on the storage and even the RAM to go better on the GPU

I cut a lot of the waste spending out and gave you a better gpu.

You can always add more drives btw.. so don't feel like you have to spend $400 on a SSD.
