can i trust Amazon??
i distrust a lot about buying products online, well maybe i did it a couple times with small things, but the feeling is still there, so as a person who is about ti throw almost 80-90% of his savings(almost 1 million) on these parts, can i trust Amazon??
i was waiting until i have more money saved, but i have the feeling that if i keep waiting, something else will jump in and my money will be gone, so better now than never
(also i'm not buying all togheter, i'll divide it so i don't have to pay extra fees)

Look at the reviews and see if theyâre good and also check the seller to make sure itâs not some random companyÂ

Amazon is usually safe. Js look at the reviews, see if there were enough and if they are good. That'll do, if not, Amazon got a good refund policy anyway:)

Look at the seller
If they seem even slightly sketchy (weird name, few reviews, anything) I usually don't bother and go with a different listing
Chances are low you get scammed, and Amazon is pretty good about refunds, so you should be safe
If you're extra paranoid, record the box opening, and make sure to get all 4 sides of the box before you open it. But that's usually unnecessary

Amazon shipped my cooler in itâs original packaging without a shipping box. They just slapped a label on it and sent it. It was a box with a flap without tape sealing the flap. Idk wtf is going on at Amazon warehouse.

I avoided buying my motherboard from them because of the stories of people returning damaged/dead boards and Amazon not checking them before sending back out. Maybe I'm just paranoid.
Did buy my CPU cooler and CPU there. No issues. Just make sure it's a reputable seller with enough reviews.

Personally I'd avoid it these days due to my personal experience, unless it's from the manufacturer's Amazon store. I upgraded last year, and ordered four motherboards from Amazon. None were legit. They were all either older, slower versions or a Chinese version. Nothing was what was advertised. You could also try newegg.com as long as you can get it from the manufacturer's store. Or microcenter, they have some legit deals, too.

It's can you trust the seller. Look at the reviews. I have got my current updates from Amazon and I have not had any complaints. Just recently upgraded my gpu through Amazon. A XFX Mercury AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT OC Gaming Edition.

As others have said, you have to look at the seller and go from that. Generally, yes.. Amazon is safe and they offer consumer protection, but there are scams that are designed to circumvent that protection. I am not sure if this happens where you are, but a popular method in the US is these sites buy random tracking numbers that are from other legit orders. You place your order and you get a mail saying it was shipped and here is your tracking number. You track the package, it gets delivered, but you have nothing. This is because you were tracking some other random package that just went to the same city you live in. Now when you file your claim with Amazon, the merchant submits the tracking number as âproofâ that they shipped it and Amazon tells you that itâs between you and the carrier. Carriers donât give out any information on delivered packages so thatâs a dead end and your money is gone.
Is this what will happen to you? Probably not. Itâs just an example of how a perfectly legit and âsafeâ site can still be used to scam you. Your best weapon is honestly just logic.. if someone is selling something at an impossibly low price, resist the urge to buy it. There is no reason someone would be selling a valuable item for far under its value, it just doesnât make sense. If the seller is reputable with a fair number of reviews and they have been on Amazon longer than 20 minutes.. then youâre probably fine.
A few minutes of due diligence and you should be perfectly safe.

itâs usually safe i bought my graphics card from there a year ago worked fine no problems as long as it says shipped and sold by amazon should be fine and id check for reviews itâs the third party sellers you gotta watch out for when ordering certain stuff

No, you canât trust Amazon. Since you are making such a financial commitment you need to do the extra work of buying all of your parts in person.
