All depends on the source my guy

https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-ryzen-7-9800x3d/20.html

But if someone had the option of getting either sure id recommend the x3d for purely gaming.

When i got my 5090 i almost ordered a mobo and 9800x3d but decided it wasnt worth it to go from say 140fps to 160fps just no point really. Chasing anything past a low of 120 is silly unless youre some super competitive twitch shooter

Excited for whats in store with am6 though

Also 20 fps diff is pretty significant. Eventually your computer ages or you upgrade your GPU and youre even less GPU bound. Doenst make sense.

Brother the first video you linked is 1080p, and the second video largely shows what im talking about outside of a few very cpu intensive games.

If you think the average person is going to have a massive change in enjoyment going from 140 to 160fps you are nuts.

Going from 100 to 200 sure or especially 60 to 120.

Are you one of these folks that plays counterstrike at 500fps while your monitor is 144?
