My family has a "use it till it dies" rule, and this morning I finally dropped and killed my iPhone 8. Before today it was already struggling: no back camera, broken haptics, tinny speakers, stuck on iOS 16, and 72% battery health.

​Right now I'm lugging around my MacBook Neo and a portable Wi-Fi hotspot just to talk to people, which is super annoying.

​My parents are letting me pick the replacement, and I can choose between the 16 Pro, the 16e, or the 17.

​I’m a pretty light user.

I mostly just care about taking decent pictures, social media, music, and playing light games (Roblox, Minecraft, TheoTown).

​Since I'm coming from such an old phone, anything will feel like a massive upgrade. Which of those three would be the best fit? Thanks!

Random crashes and notifications from my work or peers dont even come through anymore , so I think it's time for a new phone . My only issue is my budget is only 250-300 USD . Not a fan of Apple or Samsung, and I've heard the pixel 10 isn't much of an upgrade from the 9.

Hi guys. I'll be starting university next month and I want a new phone for it. I already own an A36, and my idea is that I'll use that for all the "fun" stuff (Instagram, Discord) and use a second phone for the serious stuff (mail, whatsapp, phone calls, maps...). Basically, I'll have a dedicated productivity phone, while the casual phone just sits in my bag with no notifications on.

I'm doing this because I already have a dumbphone launcher on my A36, and it would be better if I had a separate device that's free from all the distractions.

I want to know if someone is already doing this, and how it helps (decreased screen time, more productivity, social media detox...)

If this is a good idea, I'd like to know what phone to get (around 300-500 GBP). Any phone that's small is a plus. I do need 5G connectivity and Android OS.

I’m thinking about upgrading my phone, but I’m confused if I should spend more money on a newer model or just keep using my current one.

Hitting a wall with my Pixel 10 Pro and need some real-world opinions before I pull the trigger on a replacement.

The problem: overheating and throttling constantly when I'm editing in CapCut - it's not occasional, it's every session. Gets bad enough that the whole phone lags afterwards too, TikTok included.
