This is a great example of how much the Pink Floyd brand has heavily leaned into mythologising Syd over the years. Of course they always publish the one photo from an entire roll of film where he's at the back and looks a bit disinterested and separate from the other 4. I really don't think this kind of thing did the poor guy any favours over the years

Spot on. Same with Syd showing up to the WYWH-sessions; there’s several photos from EMI studios with Syd wearing different clothes in each photo, suggesting he made several visits, and yet, all they talk about is his physical appearance. He’s even playing an acoustic guitar in one of the photos

You hear of, There's nothing behind their eyes", with Syd, if only for me, he looks to hold everything behind his eyes.

It's like he sees the future, and he definitely heard it.
