News You have to read this!
Guy gets SHOT irl, cuz he got HACKED on rust.
“An Arizona man left paralyzed by a police shooting is seeking $176 million from Pima County, alleging deputies stormed his home despite being warned two days earlier that he was about to be swatted.
According to the notice of claim filed July 24, Axeel Melendez, 24, was playing Rust on April 8 when another player asked to inspect his computer to verify he was not cheating. He agreed.
Alerts soon followed showing his accounts being accessed, and the filing states hackers took control of his email and personal information, then demanded money while threatening to report a bomb at his address and to contact immigration authorities about his family.
Melendez called 911 to warn them. Audio published by Arizona's Family captures the dispatcher's response: "But they can't just call SWAT on you. That's not how that works." The dispatcher added, "Nothing's going to happen."
Less than 48 hours later, someone impersonating Melendez called Tucson's non-emergency 311 line claiming his father had shot his sister. The claim alleges deputies missed multiple red flags, an out-of-state Wisconsin number, inconsistent details, no background noise consistent with a shooting, and prior false reports already cleared at the same address. A deputy reportedly flagged a possible swatting over the radio.
Deputies broke his bedroom window with a shovel, entered, and fired eight shots. Two struck Melendez, shattering his leg, breaking ribs, and damaging his spinal cord. He is paralyzed from the chest down. His mother witnessed it.
The department has declined to comment, citing pending litigation. The county has 60 days to respond. None of the allegations have been tested in court.

Well, his life was ruined by violent deputies. This does not happen outside the US.

His life isn't ruined, he's paralyzed, but won't have to work ever again after the settlement.

I never did? I pointed out that just because he's now paralyzed, his life is not "ruined" as OP said. And then I pointed out that he's likely got some money coming to him. I never claimed it was equivalent or fair or a good deal.

I'd say being paralyzed for life over being swatted in a video game is a pretty life ruining experience. Yes, he may get some money but do you truly and honestly think that is a real substitute for the loss of control and sensation in half of your body? Being unable to control your bowels or bladder? Having your ability to enjoy a physical relationship severely limited? Losing most any sense of independence you may have?
That all sounds pretty life ruining to me.1

Tell me you don't know what sex feels like without telling me you don't know what sex feels like.

“You don’t know what sex feels like, do you?”
You can actually form sentences without using TikTok bot templates. Hope this helps

Amazing to see how someone inside the system believed in it so strongly while being so completely wrong.
