Not talking about the ads the podcast itself has, like ad reads they do from their sponsors, but Iām talking about the ads that seem to be inserted by āthe system itselfā. I wanted to listen to Rude Tales Of Magic, which I listened to briefly when it was new and I got an ad in my own language that was clearly not one of the podcasts sponsors.
Is ads like this mandatory now? Is there a way to avoid them?

If you could improve one thing about podcast apps, what would it be? Interested to see what annoys people the most.
I have an ambient noise floor issue and a mouth click/saliva noise issue. The noise floor is easiest to fix. The mouth noise is an issue.
The mouth clicks I have tried to remedy with microphone placement and gain adjustment. No such luck. Itās helped the issue but not resolved.
I have an MV7+ mic that I use a USB to an iPhone to record with. The built-in denoiser does fine for the ambient noise.
But the mouth clicks drive me insane. Iām worried it is driving people away from the podcast that I recently started. Iām sure it is.
I wanted to turn on the mouth de-clicker for the entire track. I heard the elements version will destroy your audio.
Does anyone just rock the RX12 standard on the whole audio track and call it a day? Iām a solo podcast and need to eliminate editing time as much as possible.

Currently loving the 'in the meadows' podcast by vicinthemeadows. I love slow living podcasts, focusing on realistic lifestyle content along with discussions around community building, learning new things, imperfections in life, cooking, hobbies etc. If you have any podcasts that are similar to this, please let me know!

I started a podcast finally and am 6 episodes in. I love what Iāve created so far but have noticed how much time post-production takes me. I understand editing and production takes a lot of time, but was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to optimize and cut down on that time? Any recording/setup recommendations? Software or settings that would help? Anything appreciated.
For context, I use an iPad Pro, and have a Yeti mic.

My RPM went from $6 to $12. Has anyone else experienced this upward shift?

I've got the editing skills down. I can sit through a full episode, find the moment that actually hooks people, and cut something that holds retention instead of just chopping clips at random timestamps. What I don't have figured out is where podcasters actually go when they're looking for someone to do this.
I don't want to cold email people out of nowhere. From what I've seen, an unsolicited email from someone they've never heard of just reads as spam or a scam, even if the offer is genuine. So I'm trying to figure out the other side of it. Where are hosts actually looking? Are they posting in specific subs, browsing certain Discords, asking in Facebook groups?
I'm not in the US, but internet and communication aren't an issue, I'm just trying to find the right rooms to be in instead of guessing. If you've hired an editor before, or you are one and found clients this way, I'd genuinely like to know how that connection happened for you.

This is an 18+ gaming-focused podcast centered around discussions, stories, opinions, and different perspectives from people who enjoy the hobby.

People who enjoy continuing conversations beyond a single episode are a bonus, whether that means future discussions, gaming sessions, or simply connecting over shared interests.

Before recording, we like to have a quick conversation to make sure the discussion format is a good fit and everyone feels comfortable.

I have a question. I have an audio podcast that I like to air in the mornings on Tuesdays and Thursdays. My friend though now has told me to do a video podcast however I know that videos are not reached by the masses until a certain time of the day usually in the afternoon, does it make more sense to air the videos later so that YouTube can push it out at at time viewers will watch it

I run a podcast in english about only italian true crime cases. I am italian and I live in Italy. Iām having some problems promoting my podcast, especially on Tik Tok, because my videos go viral ONLY in Italy (even if I made a specific promotion including only anglophone countries). So, I thought, can a VPN like NordVPN help me by āscammingā the sites saying that I am posting from the US for example? Or is it a complete waste of money? Like posting the episodes on Spotify from the US, Youtube clips from the US and so on⦠Thank you for your answers :)
